  1. Yes it is however the police do NOT clamp down on things like this. As long as you don't flaunt it you are fine. Like most things there is a lot of urban myth spouted about Dubai which would not stand up to Myth busters
  2. I lived and worked in Dubai for two years and would recommend you take it. Yes it is VERY hot in summer, but you get used to it. On the whole it is the safest place I have ever lived and there are many many things I miss about it. Go for it. It's not like you will miss anything in the UK is it
  3. Correct me if Im wrong but isn't oil devaluing and now at around $49! Record high ROFL Am I in a timewarp with this post?
  4. Guys the banks can't lend to bad customers anymore because they have realised they errr don't pay them back So they will now want to lend to the good customers.
  5. Sad to hear that. The true cost of all this will start to be realised now by the sheeple Good luck fella..
  6. Customer Quality? Salary? LTV? Time with Bank? Barclays are throwing money at me and I suspect it is because they have decided to dump their lemons and prune their apples & pears However if you are a lemon I suspect you would get a different result from them!
  7. Actually is't not!! My ex wife had horses and dogs (never again) and they EAT and SH** money like you would not believe As for reliability my AMV8 is a breeze as a daily driver. I have done 12k of trouble free motoring in it now and most on the AM forum say the same about the V8. I did look at the R8 and took one out for a test but it's an Audi and it costs 100k so I turned it down. Not only that but it inspires you to rag it ALL the time which is not good. I am happy to pootle in the Aston with occasional blasts. Much safer to my mind than a car that urges you to death defying speeds. Porsches are just so out of date and boring. They need a new model not a continuous revamp of the 911

  9. Yes welcome aboard. As for advice 1. Save your cash 2. Save some more 3. Pay down debt 4. Don't buy a house 5. Start to think about buying end of 09 6. Still don't buy 7. Look at your growing pot of cash and smile 8. Maybe buy in 2010, we will see 9. Check here see what we are doing
  10. Don't you find it amazing how people justify not paying back what they have spent? They are happy to get the card, they are very happy to spend the money on it and they will do anything to avoid paying it back. No wonder England is such a sh** hole with that kind of morality.
  11. I totally dissagree. It's actually a nice place to go any sit and read a book for a while. At least in Europe anyway.
  12. That's because you've never driven an Aston Mine puts a big smile on my face everytime I get in it. I have had more pleasure from this single purchase than from all of my previous purchases put together! A house is WAY down the list of pleasure giving! I mean do you have a big smile on your face each time you put the key in the door? Or run the bath? Houses are and always have been overrated as a means to giving pleasure and happiness.
  13. That's three of us from Boro then My bro saw some new builds on hampton where they offer to pay 25% of the cost for ten years, something about they take a secured loan on the 25% and you pay them that bit back in ten years. Not sure of all the details or quite how that works though.
  14. You just don't get it do you Sibley? Who is going to lend the money for this shake and vac in spring?
  15. You seem pretty confident of that! I myself believe that anything is possible now and am thankful that no matter the result it won't affect my life or lifestyle one bit.
  16. Yeh that bit made me I left a suitable comment Dreams of debt she should say! Oh and and "This is the worst I have seen it for 11 years" That will be 11 years of boom then idiot
  17. In direct comparison On early Saturday morning I fired up the beast and drove at dizzying speed to Bern, passing through a small chunk of Austria on the way. During this trip I registered cruising speeds of 110mph, saw zero speed cameras, zero safety partnership vans and zero police on the road. Quite a relaxing and pleasant journey all told. I even stopped at a Marche and had my pork loin cooked fresh in front of my eyes. Once in Bern we walked, chatted, shopped and ate and then retired for an afternoon nap. In the evening we went to the Casino and then walked again around Bern at about 3am with no fear of violence at all. Most pleasant. We then drove back to Munich on Sunday to experience a similar quality of life. The hotel cost 75 quid for a double room. The Chateaubriand we had including wine was 60 quid. We looked at some houses in the Swiss countryside to check prices and could "Snap" up a 4 hlf bed luxuary house with basement and all solared up for 300 grand. After reading all the comments on here about the Uk why would anyone choose to live there? If you pay your government with your taxes to improve your quality of life by investing your tax money into local services etc then each and every government the UK has had has failed miserably in it's main task. Personally I see no end to this and only see a continuing decline of the UK to a point where its problems will be unsolvable. As such why would you want to live there at all? Such an oppressive unhappy place.
  18. God I'm so glad I live in Europe The UK sounds like Beirut the way you guys are describing it.
  19. As she clearly reads this. I would just like to say. Krusty you are such a fat, ugly, vacuous old windbag
