  1. Economics was mathematised by Paul Samuelson and the Chicago boys in the 1960s. It's been pretty much cargo cult science ever since, the work of Herbert Simon and Fischer Black excepted. The General Equilibrium models that the Bank of England and the OBR operate are useless fictions. The macroeconomy can't be modelled deterministically because economics lacks the equivalent of the local space-time invariances on which the mathematical laws of physics are grounded. Also, existence proofs of equilibrium are meaningless in the absence of dynamics. Since computational horizons are limited by novel emergent behaviour and noise economic agents are compelled to satisfice rather than optimise. Out of necessity the real economy operates far from equilibrium.
  2. Burnham's another doom loop centrist. He was one of the Blairite twits Corbyn had to get past in 2016. He just happens to be a Manc lad so is presumed to have more native appeal to Red Wall voters. I don't see it myself.
  3. The country voted for him 2017. In droves! Attempting to triangulate Brexit is what cost Labour the 2019 GE. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jeremy-corbyn-election-result-vote-share-increased-1945-clement-attlee-a7781706.html Jeremy Corbyn increased Labour's vote share more than any of the party's leaders since 1945 Socialist achieves bigger swing than Tony Blair. 4. Do you think Sleepy Joe's Trumpy was trying to re-establish an opium franchise out of Shanghai? "No dogs and Chinese!" 😆
  5. The UK is behind Western Europe in terms of population immunity which is why the daily cases now being reported in Spain, Germany, France and Portugal are much lower than here.
  6. Bullpucky. The 2019 GE was all about keeping the Muslins out. The Red Wall doesn't like immigration much but they absolutely loathe Baphomet.
  7. The closing of the American mind. Quite extraordinary.
  8. Enough of them to do this: September 28, 2021 Chip Juggernaut: China IC Industry Revenue on Track to Top $250 Billion in 2025 In the short span of a decade, China’s semiconductor sector has exploded to become one of the largest in the world and match the region’s prominence as the biggest consumer of chips. From 2015 to 2020 alone, revenue of China’s integrated circuit (IC) industry – consisting of IC design, IC manufacturing, and packaging and test – expanded at a rapid clip of 20% CAGR (RMB) to $128 billion, according to the Chinese Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA). That total will be dwarfed after doubling to $257 billion by 2025, SEMI highlighted in its China IC Ecosystem Report.
  9. TSMC is going to Germany. https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Tech/Semiconductors/TSMC-eyes-Germany-as-possible-location-for-first-Europe-chip-plant
  10. Maybe we should ask the Chinese for help? 😆 https://www.windowscentral.com/chinas-semiconductor-industry-has-produced-2036-billion-chips-2021-so-far
  11. SARS CoV 2 is a viral pathogen. It has been isolated, imaged and sequenced millions of times. Stefan Lanka is a scientifically illiterate charlatan.
  12. So Covid-19 is a genuine threat today? You've spent eighteen months pretending it's the flu. NZ is a democracy, of course.
  13. Deceptively edited covert video from a bunch of sinister alt. reich propagandists. No more reliable than the rest of your crank sources. Antibodies work against viral pathogens, whoever doubted it? Provided the virus doesn't kill you first! But at least SARS CoV 2 is real again tonight, eh Lanka? 😆
  14. 90% of NZ hpi happened before Ardern became an MP. Interest rates are moving in the right direction to reverse that injustice. The NZ economy is 5% bigger than it was in 2019. No other sovereign can make the same claim. Also, they haven't abandoned Zero Covid! That's a false Trumper narrative aimed at undermining elimination strategies worldwide.
  15. Arpeggio: Someone's to blame for something, I'm quite sure of it.
  16. Plebs: But when do we get to ride in the cab? Tory landlord: Giddy up.
  17. The Tories don't care about the poor! Never have done and never will. The £20/week universal credit cut has cost families far more than they'll recover from Bozo's token NMW hike.
  18. The political establishment of this country has spent forty years levelling flat. Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare, the lone and level sands stretch far away.
  19. It wasn't in China in the summer of 2019! The earliest reliable evidence of the SARS CoV 2 virus is from Italy in September 2019.
  20. The exact opposite. I'm flatly contradicting the notion that an interest rate rise is somehow a failure, which the imbecile globalistas at the Telegraph seem to believe.
  21. A new blow? Do f**k off! NZ has a white hot housing market and economy. Because of Jacinda Arden's Zero Covid strategy... the most successful in the world.
  22. Parabolic moves in wholesale gas. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/uk-gas-price-hits-new-record-high-as-industrial-users-call-for-help-e2-80-93-business-live/ar-AAPbsyw UK gas price hits new record high as industry calls for help 10:08 UK gas prices have surged to new all-time highs today, piling more pressure on energy users and providers. British wholesale gas for day-ahead delivery breached the £3 per therm mark for the first time on Wednesday morning. The British day-ahead contract jumped by 25%, extending its run of very sharp moves higher, to hit 350p per therm, Refinitiv data shows. This takes wholesale gas prices further above the spike seen in 2018, when the “Beast from the East” weather system created a scramble for gas. ENERGY CRISIS: The UK's wholesale natural gas benchmark National Balancing Point (NBP) ***surges 40%*** to 382 pence per therm. This is really getting very serious now.
