  1. 660K last year, 500K this year, up from 50K which was the level for decades which stopped when Blair got in 1997. If Labour gets in it's quite easy to see it becoming 1 million plus sunshine ... 😉
  2. Until recently the largest percentage were from Albania, which is trying to join the EU and now its India, the largest democracy in the world who we are trying to get a trade deal with.
  3. Yep, end of free money so prices through the roof ...
  4. Ignoring any potential dodgy aspects and however much they would cost, how much would it cost to maintain and run a home like these ? You'd need to be earning big money I would have thought, so I imagine nearly all of them get flogged at a lower price than their so called Omaze valuation.
  5. Sunak's said they won't be investigating the ÂŁ14 billion in covid fraud, I read it was actually near ÂŁ40 billion but whats ÂŁ25 billion when it's the taxpayer paying. I guess he doesn't want anyone investigating all their dodgy PPI deals and bungs to his in-laws Indian IT outsourcer company.
  6. In case you think I dislike the ones on the left more than right you are incorrect although I do find them to be more hypocritical with their holier than thou attitude whilst getting rich by being a van hoogstraten.
  7. The Bank of England’s efforts to tame inflation are set to hit a bump in the road this month with official figures expected to show prices rising more rapidly again in August. https://www.ft.com/content/e3801211-c55c-49b5-8b12-e0c2b09bc03d
  8. What's you're vested interest, you got a property portfolio, BTL empire, or an estate agent ?
  9. That's been obvious for decades, even the green party has warped into a version of the Labour party. Up until the 90's their policies were low immigration, population control and localism. Now they open borders globalist shills. I wouldn't be surprised if they start flogging plastic lawns to fund their party ...
  10. Yep precisely. Most people are benefit recipients one way or another, of course home owners, property speculators and BTL are just good businessmen in their own eyes, and it's nothing to do with QE and near ZIRP and constant government housing props ..
  11. This country is finished when people are arguing over which shower of shyte is the least bad ... 🤣
  12. I suppose it's what we should expect of an establishment failure and shill with a degree economic history.
  13. "The Bank of England governor, Andrew Bailey, expects inflation to “fall quite markedly” this year, calling into question the need for a further interest rate rise when policymakers meet later this month." https://www.theguardian.com/business/2023/sep/06/bank-of-england-governor-fall-in-uk-inflation-pound-andrew-bailey-interest-rate-rise
  14. No chance of that with the likes of the banker Sunak in power.
  15. How does one keep increasing the size of the economy when the country has finite space and resources ? It's utterly laughable ...
