  1. What I want to know is who are the idiots still buying?
  2. I've taken to keeping my mouth shut. Previously when the public sentiment was still in bull mode I felt duty bound to say my bit and thankfully stopped 2 people buying, now however I feel there's enough mainstream information out there that nothing I can say will offer anything someone thinking of buying should have already been privvy to, besides I've been so vocal about it that everyone knows my opinion anyway! If someone asks my opinion I'll give it and I have been in conversations as recent as last week where people have been adamant not selling now is a good idea and they will hold out until it gets back up to what they have marketed for now and cant sell it for (even if it means holding on for 2 or 3 years), and if they get short they have the luxury cars to fall back on!! My work here is done, its over to the meedja to be the messenger now... If you feel uncomfortable you could always say something like, well I wouldnt in my circumstances but only you know whats right for you? If he says what do you mean then you could elaborate, but bear in mind nobody like being told theyre wrong.
  3. I KNOW! when you could get all of this http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-190...p;mam_disp=true For not much more and still have change from half a Mil, or this http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-189...p;mam_disp=true for 10k less, AND never have to mow the lawn again, free up those sunday mornings. Edited for my sums didnt add up
  4. Ok! can I add Jonathan Hunt in Ware? I think his name is rhyming slang
  5. Hmmm, my vote is for either keith Ian or Ensum Brown, both still stupidly overvaluing and selling very little, both based in ware so don't know if they count!
  6. Really? I shall look into that, I was planning on some passive aggression, i.e place really cluttered and untidy and cooking fish before they came! Also getting my teens friends to sit outside in hoodies, heheheh! But that would make me much happier Thanks. x
  7. Aww thanks everyone for the replies, I didnt expect that at all, you made my week No, not at all on 1990 rent, was paying 1250 pcm for a 4 bed house in East Herts, nice but nothing special, he has put it up to 1450 and its on rightmove already. We have been here 2 years, paid our rent on time, looked after the place and even made some repairs and improvements. LA asked if they could show someone round at 11am saturday morning and we said no as were having a birthday party for my 3 year old and she got right stroppy! After checking our agreement we dont have to let them show anyone round till a month before the end of our lease and then they have to supply 24 hours notice in writing, told them we are sticking to that, probably wont do us any good but made us feel a tiny bit better I know they paid 325k for this house in July 2004, we recon theyre coming off a fixed rate. Thanks again for the kind words. x
  8. Someone wants to tell my LL, he's just put my rent up by £200pm, when I said I cant afford that he gave me notice, 22nd Nov, cheers mate merry Xmas...
  9. Was before I moved here, funny the area's gone downhill lately, cant think why It was Sheryls house that was round the corner from me, I didnt live here then but my niece did, whenever he beat her up (his Mrs not my niece) she couldnt get her kids to school (my niece!) 'cos of the reporters, they used to be up on ladders and all sorts
  10. I use Rigtmove for sold prices but thats cos I'm lazy! It's the sold prices tab at the top of the page.
  11. LOL! As you can probab;y guess patience is not one of my virtues! No I have to make do with brains and stunning good looks, sigh I don't know that sellers are greedy, my friend is the same as me, needs to move found a house but needs to sell, they wont take a drop on the house she wants so she has no choice but to market hers at a certain price. BTW we have just been given notice to quit, have to be out end Nov., merry Christmas to meeee

  18. Tommyboy these auction threads are brilliant, thank you.
  19. And why are they spending Millions on new drugs and treatments curing people of diseases caught in filthy hospitals when some of those one in seven could be helping give them a good clean? And why is this country being choked with rubbish when some more of the 1 in 7 could be recycling it? I could be here all day.......
  20. This has been going on years, my MIL worked for a solicitor who's sole job is helping to fill in disability forms (paid by legal aid of course) Most were asylum seekers who suffered 'stress', they all had the same report from the same doctor, the same story, escaped the Taliban swam the channel... and in total they took home more per week than she did by working full time.
