  1. It is estimated that £14 in 2010 had the purchasing power of £1 in 1963. If the property was valued at £5750 in 1963 the property should be valued at £92000 in 2010 with all things being equal http://safalra.com/other/historical-uk-inflation-price-conversion/ What on earth went wrong
  2. I use crimewatch on BBC each week to monitor immigration. Its wanted list usually comprises 9 immigrants out of 10 criminals. That means that 9 out of 10 members of the public are immigrants. If not then why are immigrants over represented on crimewatch ?
  3. 90% is quite a large drop in valueof development land. In the next few years how low will it go ? 99.9% ? Self build is looking good http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-12310646
  4. Whats the problem with negative equity ? Just stay put for the long haul. They should break even within the next twenty years.
  5. Why are these people pleading poverty ? They must be very wealthy to be able to part with £70k for some off plan dump in spain. That must be the ultimate luxury.
  6. a 20 hour community order suspended for two years sounds fair to me and my henchman.
  7. The whole system of creditors needs looking at. If creditors sign a disclaimer to not reclaim monies owed if a business venture goes t!ts then that would be fine. No need for bankruptcy. Would lenders be prepared to take that risk ? They might just as well because they never get much back, taking into account legal fees, as it is.
  8. He has no sympathy from me. i will save that for his creditors who lose everything. its fine to use bankruptcy as an easy option but it should be accompanied by a mandatory one year prison sentence as a deterrent to others. He can continue to earn £7500 a week without the need to pay back any of his debts. If he owed me a lot of money I would pay £500 to have his legs broken to make it hard for him to continue living the high life at my expence.
  9. I really like the sound of that question. lets start taxing second home owners
  10. The millions of brummie rats are proud of their heritage and would not take kindly to other rodents trying to encroach on their patch. When the city falls and turns to dust they and their bloodline will continue to thrive. They could write a book on survival of the species.
  11. One day they will surface again in vast numbers. They are waiting for Birmingham to win "city of culture" before making a grand appearance to loud applause.
  12. Thank allah for positive discrimination. At least the few white brummie kids in Birmingham will be offered employment in the future regardless of their suitability. What goes around comes around http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-12254940
  13. I agree. Most posters on here do not realise that Wallace and Grommit is actually a northern documentary
  14. looks like she just took it up the tradesmans entrance from pc plod. Takes all sorts I suppose
  15. She is still prepared to use it as a buy to let if she could get a mortgage for her investment. I have no sympathy for these parasites whatsoever. She thought she could cut it as a sophisticated property speculator. what goes around comes around. Go bankrupt love and move on with your life and have babies.
  16. Looks like buying a city centre flat off plan in birmingham city centre at the peak of the property bubble might be a bad idea http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-12207571 Silly woman
  17. Its been like that since at least 1978. Sick leave has never been managed well by the public sector.
  18. another great thread on this very subject http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=157964&st=0&p=2860873entry2860873
  19. I think these are on the " other authorities" list because expected job losses are below 1000.
  20. Minimum wage for public sector workers should be £50k. Minimum council tax for every household should be £5k. Cut your coat according to your cloth
  21. as the old saying goes, if you owe the bank £1000 you have a problem. If you owe the bank £800,000,000 the bank has a problem
  22. Difficult to see HPI in Dudley this year. The only way is down. Dudley is doomed . The town centre is like a ghost town. http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2010/10/28/dudley-town-revamp-under-threat/
