Apologies if this is a re-post, or the interview was a repeat, I caught it late last night and thought it was very interesting. To quote Jim Rogers.. "Why would I put my money in the US or the UK, they are bankrupt" (or similar).. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/hardtalk/default.stm Edit: Full program on iPlayer: Hardtalk - Jim Rogers

Ha Ha! Beat The Bailiff Bailiff Goes Bust
stew replied to SarahBell's topic in House prices and the economy
I actually quite liked Jamie Waller on TV - he seemed to have his head screwed on. -
To the OP... just refer to them as 'villas' problem solved.

It's a website that hooks up joe public so they can lend or borrow money from each other, cutting out a bank.

If you want to, then go ahead. There can't be much more advice given. If you have £x tied up in investments that can be released in X months, and you need a deposit for a house, then borrow £x. Pay off loan when your investments mature. Pretty simple. When you buy is your choice of course.

Apologies if this has been said already, I haven't read the entire thread... Is it me, or has there been a distinct lack of ramping on the RM figures? Maybe the media tide has turned?
-
No. There would be a period of zero posting as people got off the floor & back onto their chairs.

Well said!! This is amazing news.
-
Well, that's astonishing for one month

This 27.2% drop. Over what period of time is it? The news seems to be that it's in 1 month, which I presume is totally wrong.

Yep - twas on the radio earlier, spokesman from RAC taking about pot holes etc. -
"you're" <need an 'ironic' emoticon> To the OP.... seriously, if this isn't a wind up, simply call the EA and ask for clarification.
