  1. You obviously never watched them digging the blue peter time capsule up
  2. It's the same anywhere with young EAs though. They've only ever known prices go up. And worcester is well overpriced. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sa...y-19193852.html 30 October 2008 * Price changed: from '£6,000,000' to '£4,500,000' [Found by mogga] 01 February 2008 * Initial entry found. [Found by ottomattik] Nuns in denial. They want the place kept as one building.
  3. It's an old person property so I'm wondering if one of the D's got them.
  4. Ooo don't tease me like this. I'm thinking one of them is after it... and wants to make sure no one else views it...
  5. They are on rightmove. All their other properties are on rightmove. One has been removed. But it's still on their site. What's going on? It's one we viewed - and one if I could reduce the asking price enough would buy. Big victorian place needs some work doing. I'm just so suspicious about the reason why. Is there a logical one?
  6. I thought about this during question time last night. They could cut police costs massively by reducing pension entitlement.
  7. Poundshops better watch out. Tesco are doing pound ranges of tat.
  8. You spot the reference to the "job ladder" Is this also going to be a job slide too?
  9. Was it them that virally released a voucher again? I suspect after the success of the previous year they had to be careful not to give the booze away.
  10. So if you didn't live it up in debt you should have?
  11. I'm worried that doing nothing was the best option. Letting markets correct themself whilst saving the bits that need saving (ie: my savings!) would have been a much better idea. But they're so obssessed with the idea that an economy built on debt is a good thing that they can't see beyond that.
  12. At what point do you stop dealing with a company? When it owes you a months money? £10k? £20k? Do you really wait til you're owed over £100k?
  13. MSE have a list of "losing" accounts, rather than "savings" accounts. It's good because more people must realise how fleeced they are being.
  14. Houses owned by a landlord. He's got loads. (Millions of £ worth) He has a property letting/management company that looks after them. But now they're being let out by a different company which is overdue on it's accounts. How odd is that? Is it a tax fiddle and who do you snitch them to?
  15. NOooooooooooooooooo! Gawd that'd keep Gilliam Mckeith happy. But bath in bedrooms. Have seen on a beeny like that or was it a Kev. not the under the bed one though - one in the room and just though thats insane. Oh there was a big copper bath in a bedroom too I think.
  16. Change in media attitude as much as anything else. How many bbc execs have second homes? Maybe they'll be asking for a bailout if they can't live part-time in pretty villages without seeing people work...
  17. Why let one bank go to the wall when you can take two!
  18. Some village in cornwall - 70% of houses are owned by out of towners. They're organising an objection to a new jetty to help the fisherman. Are matches and petrol sales up yet?
  19. Guy on radio 4 just before 8am today being interviewed was saying {northern rock} is technically bankrupt. But it's about liquidity in the economy and keeping the banks solvent.<... then he went on to mention rearranging deckchairs on the titanic When asked if he thought this bailout would work he just laughed.
