  1. I think the kimono fox killer has his hands full at the moment. Gina Miller might be a better shout.

  3. It’s something we all know, but worth repeating the proof. Our govt has a vested interest in ramping house prices.
  4. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/jul/12/tories-have-unhealthy-financial-reliance-on-property-developers-says-report Research finds a fifth of party’s donations came from residential property sector, posing ‘real risk of aggregative corruption’
  5. Central London Rents Jump by Record as Tenants Return to Capital https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-07-11/central-london-rents-jump-by-record-as-tenants-return-to-capital?srnd=premium-europe Rents in central districts surged 4.3% in June from the previous month, the fastest pace on record, as the easing of lockdown restrictions lured tenants back to urban life, according to estate agent Hamptons International. That’s the first time since the start of the pandemic that rents saw a monthly increase.
  6. Very engaged in anything to do with identity, specifically identifying into oppressed groups. They’re desperate to tell you their pronouns, got the BLM and the ACAB tags everywhere. Free Palestine! Free Britney! Communism! It’s all hot air. Honestly, I think many of them have been socialised by helicopter parents to fear leaving home and entering the big bad world. Far safer to stay online in their bedroom. Maybe this week is why we’re ruled by Old Etonians - it’s a sink or swim philosophy. Dump the boy at the school, one week induction, then he’s on his own. No mollycoddling.
  7. If Italy wins there will be riots. Italians will be physically attacked, shops will be damaged. I wouldn’t want to be a copper if Italy win. (Or a woman trapped at home with a raging domestic abuser) So I hope England win and we avoid all that.
  8. Good to have an inside perspective, thanks. Perhaps 50,000 drivers short is the same as the housing shortage (there isn’t one, but it suits them to limit supply and pretend there is).
  9. “Authorities have launched a grand jury investigation into the collapse as families have filed at least six lawsuits” Now I wonder if Grenfell would have benefitted from 6 immediate lawsuits? Maybe we would have got to the bottom of things faster?
  10. Who says robots haven’t taken over already? Would we even know?
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/media/2021/jul/10/where-else-can-i-make-a-months-rent-in-two-days-the-unlikely-stars-of-onlyfans How exciting!! Truly, this is freedom in capitalism. No part of a human life remains uncommoditised.
  12. Wait til it’s underwater in 30 years.
  13. I’d like to know why rates continue to drop.

  15. This was SSTC and has come back on. To me it's a bit like a regional office. https://www.themodernhouse.com/sales-list/walsh-house/
  16. Right chaps and chapettes. Ran my mortgage comparison again today. Lowest rate 1.09 HSBC
  17. Well this looks fun and normal https://www.instagram.com/p/CRFcGWHl7S5/?utm_medium=copy_link
  18. My rightmove alerts just sent me more reductions. I still think houses with gardens priced correctly will sell, but people aren’t desperately compromising and paying over the asking for sub-par properties. On the same street near me there are 4 semis on with the same footprint with a price difference of 500k between top and bottom.
