  1. A flat white at Gail’s is now £3.10 and Christmas bun is £3.20 takeaway. I’m fumin
  2. We have a greater percentage of young people than they do. They have a greater percentage of old people than we do. It's just demographics.
  3. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10156749/Mother-skirt-wearing-teen-raped-female-classmate-says-identifies-male.html Absolutely 100% guarantee this boy has had unrestricted access to the internet his whole life, and been groomed to smithereens. If they check his history it’ll be 4chan/8chan, hardcore sissy porn, non consensual, probably from age 10/11. Check his chat logs and it’ll be older dudes (yes, sometimes in dresses) breaking his mind for fun. We’ve got a whole tidal wave of these net kids growing up now. Partly explains the recent nightclub roofie injection news, they’ve never had anyone say no to them. Boundaries are abhorrent to them. We’ll see more of this. The internet is not your babysitter.
  4. Mums net knew this would happen. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/nov/05/marks-and-spencer-christmas-pre-order-service-already-sold-out-of-dozens-of-items
  5. House prices hit record high as Halifax predicts cooling UK demand https://www.theguardian.com/money/2021/nov/05/house-prices-hit-record-high-as-halifax-predicts-cooling-uk-demand UK house prices rose for a fourth month running in October, climbing above an average of £270,000 for the first time on the Halifax measure, but the mortgage lender predicted a cooling of the market in the months ahead if the Bank of England raises interest rates. that's a big if
  6. Ash Sarkar needs to watch that video. On the one hand she spends significant twitter time decrying sweeping generalisations, but is quite happy to make sweeping generalisations about a class of person she doesn't like.
  7. Chinese algorithm braincrack. Addictive doesn't even come close to describing it.
  8. Since all BOE govs in my memory have been torn to shred on here, I'd like to know who would be a better option. Sentance?
  9. E10 unleaded petrol and the middle-aged car http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/4392183-E10-unleaded-petrol-and-the-middle-aged-car
  10. So Lloyds announce becoming landlords. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cjkdyy9xgn3o Lloyds is currently the largest mortgage lender in the UK, providing nearly one in four home loans. Then Lloyds have the greatest percentage of repossessions... Could repossessing be part of their landlording strategy?
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2021/nov/04/bank-of-england-interest-rate-rise-inflation-covid-central-bank Why is the Bank of England considering an interest rate rise?
  12. Not when the rest of the house is testing pos with exact same symptoms. Trust me, I'm not that lucky.
  13. Having researched, the conjunctivitis symptom runs at around 23% for kids and 1-3% for adults. I’ve tested myself 3 times and had 1 PCR and they’re all neg. The virus may simply not be present at detectable levels in my nose and throat (migrated to lungs? who knows).
  14. Thanks fellas. I’m sanguine about it - you can only mitigate risk within reason without creating untenable conditions. An interesting factoid I discovered is that the top symptoms change post 1 and 2 jab. It’s really presenting more as an extremely hardcore cold. Also - pink eye!
