  1. Lack of garden is irrelevant, a snip at £300k............ Ok. This HPC is throwing up more mugs than anticipated......... keep fueling the market boys

  3. Nearly 400k for that pebbledashed hunk of poo These prices are totally insane! Crash on the way me thinks

  6. Two safe things will be booze (spirits) and homes. No doubt though the stamp duty threshold will go down by a token thousand or two, not enough considering the supposed value of homes will rocket an additional 50k this year.
  7. In this country is is just an excuse to bleed more tax out of us in the way of hitting our hard earned holidays. As a manufacturing superpower that they (Indai and China) are, it amazes me the hype that goes into cheap jeans and socks. The govenment cannot take Global Warming seriously as it is a non entity and cannot be proved. Im sure these massive forest fires pump more CO2 into the atmosphere per day that humans do in a year.
  8. Most individual views on here seem to be Irish.
  9. One thing you must remember is that 'not all it what it seems' on these forums. Many people have time in the day to try and convince someone of anything yet only a few actually 'do'. I am not an expert on this subject nor am I even an amature, but reading your posts properly reads true, unlike your opposition his relies on distorted views and thinking coupled with time and the internet he can search buzzwords, but yet the name of the next prize giving fund has disappeared by the ether. End of thread........
  10. Even so, his crystal ball has given up the ghost until after the best investment is known.
  11. Hmmm something about this graph like you say 'Doesn't ring true'. Judging by the house price graph on this site, in the early 90's houses peaked at about 108k, im pretty sure wages then werent quite half what they are now.
  12. Stocks and Shares? Property? At least the money is SAFE in a savings account whatever the outcome.
  13. Here where I live I started an apprenticeship in 1997 and within a couple of years I worked up to a skilled rate of 18k a year, at the same time I was looking at buying a new property at 62k. In 2007 that same skilled rate is 20k and the same house I viewed to purchase in 1997/98 is now 167k. I'll let you do the maths. Bear in mind a 3k pay rise in 10 years will include the fact that this Labour government when they came to power took 19% away from us in tax, now they take nearer 22%. Place this upon increased fuel tax, stamp duty, raised above inflation council tax, car tax, insurance etc, we can safely say wages are no better off no than 10 years ago. One difference for sure is that if I walked into a bank 10 years ago and wanted even a 120k mortgage on the average earnings then, I'd have been laughed out the building... So why is it acceptable and expected now???
  14. Also anyone looking for alternative investments other than property (chokes on breakfast) will be bitterly disappointed.
  15. LOL, as I said before people seem preoccupied with writing bullsh*t on here to realise the true facts, and they are out there on the streets now. I saw someone for the first time in about 6 months in the estate agents which I pass to and from work, the other day although general body language suggested something other than a happy couple shopping for a home. Both with a sharp scowl on thier faces I suggest this couple were trying in vain to sell their house. Of course many of you will think it was wind, the Daft Boys on here know otherwise.
