Islands have it harder, everything has to come from outside via sea or air...... thankfully we have the Chanel tunnel, Thatcher working with the French to thank for that. -

Far left and far right not a happy medium.......it is people that matter not the extremes. -

People will do what they have to do in order to improve their lives.....that is all I can say, regulations and protections are down to the governance of individual countries, whose interests they choose to look after. -

Renting long-term might be a better option, better and more secure tenant protections. https://www.spanishcasa.com/blog/2023/08/30/new-property-rental-law-in-spain-2023/ -

Not always...... entrepreneurs will move to places where they can see more growth potential, up and coming places that have a lot to offer, room for improvement......buy low, sell high. -

Agree putting own people first, that must be a good thing, money shouldn't buy anything at the detriment to own people, with no questions asked......also not a case of not wanting the UK to do badly, more wanting all of the EU to do well, stronger together. https://blog.visitacostadelsol.com/en/google-malaga -

Good, not only Brits but many Chinese and other nationalities benefited from it.......will still need to be means tested and checks on history to get a nlv visa if don't have an EU member states passport, harder more red tape and more costly if have intentions to work......no riff raff required......what we voted for. https://myspainvisa.com/non-lucrative-visa-spain/ -
I agree, if someone spends money to insulate their homes, puts the right boiler in, only heats the room they use, gives up the bath and has a short shower ect, to reduce their and their families energy and water consumption they should pay less per unit Inc rip off standing charges not more, perhaps the first so many units should be standing charge free or less per day to encourage less waste/usage......key metres, pay as you go should not cost more per unit either...........before a few years ago it was fairer when had two separate unit charges, better than so much a day charge no matter how much use.

Reform Is the 2024 Dark Horse
winkie replied to Social Justice League's topic in House prices and the economy
Billions of people throughout the world are on the move, changing the place where they live.....some out of choice, others out of force...... people always have moved throughout history and will always do so...why should some be more entitled and free to move than others when they cause no harm, want to integrate and can support themselves and family? -
What you say is true, if there were bigger falls what would stop speculators buying up on the falls with cash, sell some gold or coins say.......there are still far more people around today in the world that could easily buy up property.......times were very different 50 or 60 years ago.......why the Chinese were not allowed out the country, few Russians about, Americans few hold passports even fewer then than today......our property and land is now an open market with the rest of the world, many of who are much wealthier than the likes of you and me or most British Workers that have now been priced out.......1970s we had strict exchange control regulations.

I was against id cards, but if it meant the difference between staying in the EU or leaving would've happily gone along with the cards, know who you are and where you are and what you are doing......millions then wouldn't have to get special permission to vote in a general election......one of the reasons why people often prefer us to other EU countries, easy to get lost in the system, live under the radar. -
......owner pay for property building insurance, pay for cladding removal if necessary, pay for everything to do with the building, pay for cost of any subsidence if appropriate.......want to own a property be responsible for all the building needs......renters given the option to only pay for the space whilst using it.......not unlike when renting a holiday property?......
