  1. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-113...pa_n=1&tr_t=buy We went to see this property in September last year when we were thinking of buying! . Was on the market for £149k and had been the market since Dec 2004. All they have done is added a sofa and tv to the sitting room (which had a small table and a chair which they tried to pass off as the dining room when we went to see it!!!). This lead through to the kitchen (which was right in the middle of the house and had no windows). Then you had a ground floor bathroom (right next to the Kitchen - Nice!!!!) which took up a 1/3 of the Sitting room (which is now the dining room), So is not really the size they say on the room dimensions as part of it is taken up by the bathroom. Upstairs it got even worse...the main bedroom was OK! but the so called 3rd bedroom let off the 2nd bedroom and could not be used as a bedroom as it had some sort of platform that took up a quarter of the room!!!! Please tell be how this seller thinks he can justify a 50K rise in 9 months by moving a bit of furniture around and renaming the rooms??? not to mention the fact that the house opens onto the A28 and prices round here have well and truely stagnated and are on the way down.
  2. I was listening to a conversation at work from a colleague selling her house (valued at 190K) "The Estate agent says my buyer has put in an offer for 180K beacause that's the maximum she can get from mortgage etc. Will I except it?. "I told him I don't care what she can afford the house is worth 190K" She finally sold for 185K About a month later when same colleague was now looking for a new house, she found the house of her dreams for sale at 250K. Put in offer for 230K , offer rejected. Back at work, "I really love that house but the stupid b***h won't reduce the price". "I refuse to pay the full asking price!" she said Please explain the stupidity!
