  1. As others have said, Ireland has went from being a colony of Britain to a colony of the EU. They are under orders from the EU to take in millions of economic migrants from the third world before 2050 and the people have no say in the matter. As the ex prime minister Martin said, "we want nothing to do with this backward notion of sovereignty." As has happened in England, the media has brainwashed a vast swathe of the population into believing that nationalism is a dirty word. So sad.
  2. When it started it was very good. The last year at least has been very poor, he's clearly running short on ideas to talk about. Not to mention him being a former World Economic Forum attendee, he's very much in step with, let's say....the latest thing.
  3. As long as the south of Ireland has a clear corporation tax advantage over the UK, this will continue to be a major incentive for big businesses to invest in it over the north. Cheaper rents is one advantage for the north. Are Stormont allowed to set their own corporation tax rates for NI? Even if they were allowed, DUP wouldn't agree to it.
  4. Financial crash - "Warning, no need to panic and take your money out of the bank's. Everything is under control "
  5. If you're referring to the Ulster banner flag, I have seen it before at Ireland matches. It's mostly viewed with bemused indifference. Given that it has not been an official flag since 1973 and N.I is not a country. Most sensible Ulster supporters would bring an actual Ulster red and yellow flag. You know, the one that actually represents the 9 counties of Ulster, which the provincial team represents.
  6. It is largely right though, broadly. Most NI football supporters would be unionist DUP, TUV , UUP supporters. Ulster rugby fans would be more of a mix of DUP, UUP, Alliance and SDLP supporters.
  7. I'd say it's more likely that you're an addict to pharmaceutical products than I am. Just a hunch. Enjoy your next mandated booster jab to be able to go to the pub/restaurant....if Leo mandates it so.
  8. That's your choice and you're entitled to it. Enjoy paying more taxes to house all the economic migrants staying in a lot of your hotels instead. EU puppet state. There's a lot more patriotic Irish people than partitionists anyway so I suspect you will be on the losing end of the vote. If there ever is a United Ireland, it would need to have a certain degree of independence and not just be a slave to EU, Pharma and WEF masters. Sadly, I don't think that is possible.
  9. West Brit. Numpties up north, catch yourself on. If there is a united Ireland I pray that the north is not absorbed into the EU lackey WEF puppet lickspittle free state . I would rather remain Northern Ireland in that case. This coming from a life long nationalist. The last few years have shown precisely how little independence the republic actually has. Full of brainwashed globalists like this guy also.
  10. Yeah agreed. As the project Veritas undercover recordings of the CNN workers showed, the next big scare campaign is Climate Change. The unaware CNN reporters thought they were talking to a normal person but we're actually being recorded, they said that Climate Change is the new COVID in terms of scaring the public into compliance.
  11. Look up UK FIRES Net Zero report by leading UK academics. It stated that the aim is to close all UK airports before 2030 with the exception of Heathrow, Glasgow and Belfast. After 2030, all UK airports are to close.
  12. Thanks, some good points you have made. I hadn't focused on insurance, maintenance, rates but they do make a substantial difference. My only worry is I can't see prices dropping too much in NI. What with increase in migrants needing housed, people relocating from London, people moving up from the south in search of cheaper housing. I think I probably will rent for another 6 months. If no crash happens by April 2023, I will probably take the plunge and buy.
  13. A question: would you rent for £700 per month for a period of 6/12 months (in the hope that prices go down in 6 or 12 months) or buy a house now for £160k?
  14. I would love for you to be correct. Do you think it would apply more to properties over a certain amount? I just couldn't see a £150k property dropping to £105k or a £300k property dropping to £210k. A £1m property dropping to £700k? Possibly more likely.
  15. Can we assume in NI that the percentage fall won't be that much? Honestly can't see a bigger fall than 10%
  16. I don't think the truth will ever come out in MSM about all this. It's too far gone, multiple people would need to be brought up on criminal charges who are in the public sphere. It looks destined to be a classic cover up. Unusually though, there is a larger than ever percentage of the public who are now aware of media censorship and propaganda for the very first time. The genie is out of the bottle.
  17. Amen. Sounds like a great life over there. I would be of the same mindset as you I think but as you say, everyone is different. I appreciate my suggestion to people to move abroad is more suited to people with no strings in UK, i.e, no kids, mortgage, carer commitments etc. On your point about the weather. I have always said that it plays a huge part in the social fabric of a society. If it pisses down most of the year, it's no wonder you won't see elderly people out in parks socialising and playing chess or other board games like they do in Greece, Spain etc. The life of an elderly person in UK is much more isolated than one in a European country with a warmer climate.
  18. I'm not confusing anything. I stand by assertion that most of UK has lost its community spirit. Most people don't chat to their neighbours, let alone invite them in for a chat, meal etc. I say most because there are always exceptions. In Ireland there is more community spirit from my experience there (perhaps due to parish structures/GAA sports in each town) but even that is on the wane due to it becoming more secular, richer and due to mass immigration recently. People who have the basics in life are not running non-stop in a hamster wheel trying to chase a bigger car, house or keep up with the Jones's. Family and friends are more valued in poorer countries than in UK at the moment.
  19. Doesn't need to be. Was just thinking you would get more bang for your buck in developing countries. But I would include all low cost of living countries in my point. My main point is why work your ass off for 30 years to own a home here when you can do that in 5 years in a cheaper country with better weather, food, more community. (Depending on if you have saved up already, have a good chunk of cash from a house sale here). I feel UK has lost its way in terms of community spirit, in a way a lot of poorer (economically) countries have not. A lot of people are locked in a trap of debt and consumer spending here. I'm not saying that poorer countries are not completely like this but there seems to be more cooperation, sharing and happiness in poorer countries. Maybe more traditional way of lives....I guess I'm a traditionalist at heart.
  20. I would always encourage learning the local lingo to people moving abroad. Dramatically reduces the chances of getting ripped off. "No" is a very powerful word also, as is asking the price up front in taxis, haggling at market stalls, not getting taken advantage of basically. All of which are helped by having knowledge of the language.
  21. Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Vietnam, Thailand Costa Rica. People from these shores live quite happily in some areas of these countries. Of course, don't expect to get a pint of Carling and get egg, beans and chips there. But there are growing numbers of people moving to similar countries who are fed up with the inability to get on housing ladder and general decline in standard of living in Britain. Of course I am aware that things like kidnappings exist in some areas of Latin America. But like anywhere, it's a case of having common sense and knowing where to go. Some states/regions in some of these countries are completely safe.
  22. Good points. Point 1 is especially true in Latin America but I guess money talks and if you pay the money you get things done a bit quicker. On point 2, I have lived abroad before and found that you actually end up closer to your family if you live away from them. Instead of meaningless day yo day contact when you may get on each others nerves, living away from family makes you appreciate calls with them even more and makes visits even more special. Just my experience.
