Belarus seeks to amend its constitution to host Russian nuclear weapons

In December, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko went on Russian state television to offer to host Russian nuclear weapons on Belarus’s territory. This will be made possible by a little-noticed change to Belarus’s constitution set to come into effect on 27 February.

Sigh. I am but a lowly common worker, who by happenstance, has some rental properties.

I don’t worry much about anything, by dint of my meagre brain not functioning at the required clock speed for such. l was in Dubai last year, and learned about the restricted purchase zones.

How many (meagre) properties do you own?

@longgonewill get jealous if it is more than one

Any of the new posters care to introduce themselves?

Noticing an increase, not sure of the reasons.

How did you come across HPC? What are your views on UK housing?

    Don’t be shy.

All new poster should be given spelling tests, and the proper use of grammar

Not true. They've brought in order tens of billions, the UK economy is around 2 000 billions.

    Our wealth comes from washing

We have no god given right to be rich, if we close the Laundry we will become poor, Bojo knows this that is why he wants Europe to shut down Swift but not us close our Laundry

Where do you think the money comes from?

The biggest users of the Laundry are the Arabs and the Russians, and the way it is going we have lost both

We call the Arabs terrorist pedo and rapists so they have stopped using our laundry

We have this situation with Russia/Ukraine that will also affect our 40 degree cotton wash so that has effectively stopped

....and when the other see this the laundry ends

Any betting though that this offer/suggestion of help will not require/expect them to go back home fairly promptly once order/independence is restored to Ukraine?  As was the case with Belgian refugees returning back home after WW1.

What happens when Putin invades Moldova and Hungary and Romania, etcetra.....this war has just started

Keir Starmer today demanded Britain do more to help Ukrainian refugees fleeing the Russian invasion.

The Labour leader said: “The Government has got this one wrong. They are applying the same rules as they had before.”

That means Ukrainian refugees who want to come here must apply for visas first.

Sir Keir added: “We must help Ukrainian people looking for safety. That is what we have always done as a country in a moment like this.”

WHAT IF RUSSIA ATTEMPTED TO INTERECEPT/PREVENT DELIVERY OF FOREIGN WEAPONS TO THE UKRAINIANS?  THIS WOULD PRESUMABLY REPRESENT A SIGNIFICANTLY DANGEROUS ESCALATION?  IF IT HAPPENED WHAT WOULD BE THE LIKELY RESULTS?

The US did this during the Vietnam war, they could intercept on Ukrainian territory but not in other countries, except  accidently offcourse

    One anecdote deserves another....

I've met vast numbers of immigrants, surrounded by an ever changing workforce of them. They are a mixed bunch pretty much like the locals. Immigration is a positive and a negative. What of course is true is that if the U.K. banned childbirth and imported everyone at 18 fully educated by others it would be a massive boon for our economy. Not so good for others though. It would just be a way to keep other countries poor.

What no one considers about immigrants is that an immigrant that comes from a country depending on if he has come from a city or a village has different education and cultural beliefs

when Thatcher said the best immigrants we had were Hungarian and polish during WW2 it is because they were the elite, If you have 3M village people they will no way be the same

You would have thought that Russia would have learnt its lesson from the winter war in 1939 were it seriously got its ass kicked by the Finns.

We never learn look what Finland just Purchased for delivery in 2030

Finland finalized its $9.4 billion purchase of 64 Lockheed Martin F-35s and support services, signing a letter of offer and acceptance, announced Feb. 11, that calls for the jets to be delivered before the end of 2030. The agreement provides Finland with industrial participation on the program.

For someone who wanted to shore up his borders from NATO, Putin is really making an @rse of this whole thing.

I am not sure, I think the Ukrainians Freedom Fighters are Shooting down Ukranian Helicopters and blowing up Ukrainian tanks as they are firing at anything that moves not checking what it is and whose side it is on.

The Arctic has phenomenal resources, I think China will side with Russia as it does not look like Russia is man enough and China will want Danegeld
