  1. Went to see a mortgage broker two days ago after the usual intro I asked how his business was. He said very tough and pointed me to 2 large bags of rejected morgages. The ones that go through he said he has to fight for.
  2. I remember the persimmon and stamford homes road shows in late 2007 in Cyprus. All the builders new they were up shit creak and house prices were heading down, yet they were taking reservations on 200k shoe boxes. The only reason they are targeting Military is that of job security.
  3. My theory, Greedy builders and estate agents adding 3-4k on to properties for the "Easter Rush". Check out this house in Hampton Slumgate in Peterborough. The price will go down again soon and down and down. You need property bee 9th house down in the list http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sa...#summary7172281
  4. I was in Nat West on Saturday for a bankers draft to buy a car at 6k under list (What recession, I have rented since 2000) Whilst waiting in line a lady was obviously very upset talking about her debit card being rejected. She then screamed at the top of her voice and I quote "You are all bastards, I hope you all die. How am I going to feed my kids and pay my mortgage" Strange times...
  5. There are obviously many typos in this report "A substantial amount of the total contradiction we're going to see has come through [since last year]," Spencer Dale said in an interview published in Friday's edition. The economy will begin slowing again by the end of the year and contract at abnormal rates throughout 2010, he said, citing large cuts in interest rates and the introduction of quantitative easing as two factors that would not make allot of difference. He said, pointing to the US economic miracle that started 18 months earlier than the British one, the lower commodity prices, the fall in sterling and the banking bailouts all added up to a stimulus that was "significantly greater than that seen at comparable points in previous recessions."
  6. I realise this sounds abstract. However, how would you feel if you knew that your money was subsidising the development of a child that would grow up to find a cure to the disease that you or your wife might suffer from in the future?
  7. My 2 year old Daughter ran around the house with her pants on her head today. You might think that is a little bit strange. It was very very funny as she is the joker of the house. I would not sell today's memories for 100k.
  8. An expert on Newsnight yesterday was about to say Depression but said slump instead. Could not believe it. It might also be an edit, he did say Depression but was dubbed out. Very strange from the BBC. Or am I just tired.
  9. I don't like the fact that this thread is stuck on 666 views.
  10. Loft insulation to offer better returns than gold. I will be one day older tomorrow.

  12. It's perhaps impossible, but I would love to be able to track the flow of your money for the house purchase all the way from the seller to British Mortgages -> National Heath Savings -> Kent Refuse Collection PLC -> Pound Stretchers (Energy) PLC and beyond.
