How Banks Calculate Mortgage Interest?

How Banks Calculate Mortgage Interest?
Robodoc replied to Liopik's topic in All about buying, selling and mortgages
This may depend on when your mortgage provider recalculates your mortgage. It can be as much as yearly, though I was under the impression most lenders these days did it on a daily basis? -
Supply And Demand.....my Backside
Robodoc replied to TheCountOfNowhere's topic in House prices and the economy
I'm not sure I entirely understand how that graph demonstrates there's a speculative bubble. As prices go up, fewer people are moving up the ladder. Areas of the south east you're looking at an extra six figures on mortgage for an extra room, no thanks. It does mean that prices are being set by the tiny number of places that are actually on sale. -
Tax Relief On Buy To Let Mortgage Interest.

Has someone started a counter-petition imploring the government to remove the BTL tax relief entirely? Fairly sure that could muster a significant number of signatures. -
Bof E Could Crack Down On 'risky' Buy-to-let Mortgages
Robodoc replied to South Lorne's topic in House prices and the economy
Bank of England has been asking for formal powers to regulate Buy to Let mortgages for a while now. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2015/07/08/uk-britain-boe-idUKKCN0PI0S620150708 I guess the Treasury is finally coming around to it. The changes in the last budget could bring forward the risks the BoE warned about a few months back. -
