  14. Also be aware that you cannot have a garage floor higher than on a house floor if it's attached without a lip on a joining doors. It's a regulation in case there is a petrol leak and fluid could flow into the house... Fire doors will also be required between habitable and garage space.

  17. Just did a quick spreadsheet to validate this.. at 2.40% per annum on an initial loan amount of £1,000, year 25 is £1,766.85 owed. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  18. There is a 1-2-3 principal from memory? Pay (borrow) £1k more.. Repay (over 25 years) £2k Have to have earned £3k to pay that after tax? So £20k extra = £60k needing to be earned??
  19. This presents a whole set of different challenges. Currently there is a backlog of 18 months in the courts for divorce. in the meantime likely adoption of many rental properties by split couples with a glut of expensive houses coming onto the market for those that can't afford to buy the other out. Then demand for lower priced smaller properties.. IMHO
