Hi all, Does anyone have any thoughts on whether leaving a Monster box, whether it be silver eagles, maples or philharmonics, unopened increases its overall value at all? Would you open it up or leave it closed as it came from the mint?

Thanks to everyone for your input. I definitely agree with you on silver Marcus. I have had exposure to silver through ETFs for some time but don't particularly like these and at some stage want to roll these positions over to somewhere like Bullion Vault perhaps. Of course, owning physical is always better but I can't help be put off by the 20% VAT the government currently slaps on the metal, despite its potential to move considerably higher.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum so I'm sorry if this topic has been covered before. I am contemplating picking up some physical gold bullion, which I intend on storing securely at home. Can anyone recommend any specific good insurance companies that will cover precious metals that they have dealt with? Thanks for your help.
