  1. Your uncle was Thomas Jeffereson? How old are you exactly?
  2. I'm surprised that pub spend is falling. My local is twice as packed since the credit crunch began with people complaining about how broke they are.
  3. Bank voted 9-0 to cut UK's rates http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7683661.stm
  4. Ooooh he's a pices is he? Explains alot then. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pisces_(astro...sociated_traits
  5. My findaproperty.co.uk weekly rental search which gets emailed to me on sundays shows no increace in flats. To give you an idea of what I am searching for: Unfurnished Property to rent from £800pcm up to £1,250pcm in Aldgate, Barbican, Bayswater, Belgravia, Blackfriars, Bloomsbury, Borough, Camden Town, Chelsea, City EC2, City EC3, City EC4, Clerkenwell, Covent Garden, Earls Court, Farringdon, Fitzrovia, Holborn, Holland Park, Hyde Park, Kennington, Kensington, Kings Cross, Knightsbridge, Lambeth, Marble Arch, Marylebone, Mayfair, Notting Hill, Old Street, Oval, Paddington, Pimlico, Regents Park, Soho, South Bank & Shad Thames, South Kensington, Southwark, St James, St Pancras, West Brompton, Westminster with at least 2 bedrooms excluding 'Let' and 'Under Offer' properties Used to be 0 properties in my search (hence no emails at all). Now in most weekly emails there are 1-3 properties. I am expecting to see this rise to around 5 by the end of the year, and then around 10-15 per week by end of March (which is my target date to move). However, we may have some waiting to do. There is still rental demand for prime locations in London. However, this will soften and then collapse as next year progresses.
  6. Very good MFN. Can you now please predict when the end of civilisation will happen so I know when l should be panicking. Ta.
  7. Glad to know there are some sane voices in the press. How much good this will do though... Personally, I'd like to partake in a riot.
  8. In case anyone is still wondering, my prediction of a swift end to Kensington has fallen flat. What has now occured is that the Government (via B& are going to have to honour the £125m per month securitisation agreement with Kensington, or they will need to go through some kind of very expensive legal process to extricate themselves. So not only is the government nationalising mortgage lending, but they are nationalisating sub-prime mortgage lending. You tax £'s are now going to be directly propping up the amateur BTL industry. Fockers.
  9. Staying out of the bubble took balls and smarts. People posessing these are not as likely to develop mental illnesses.
  10. "Hey, we're losing all our damn money, and Christmas is around the corner, and I ain't gonna have no money to buy my son the G.I. Joe with the kung-fu grip! And my wife ain't gonna f... my wife ain't gonna make love to me if I got no money!"
  11. Thats interesting, as this is hapenning in Japan. Since young people there are incredibly important to the country, they are treated well by the state. Breeding as a whole is encouraged, with 12 months maternity pay standard.
  12. Morpheus: Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life. That there's something wrong with the world, you don't know what it is, but it's there. Like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about? Neo: The Global Banking System? Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is? Morpheus: The Global Banking System is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth. Neo: What truth? Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Born into a prison that you cannot smell or taste or touch. A prison for your mind. Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Global Banking System is. You have to see it for yourself. Morpheus: This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember: all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more.
  13. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10...nded-500bn.html It's a bit sensationalist from the daily hate, but then again, it's the daily hate.
  14. They knew that the estate would be 25% social. Whats another 25% eh? mid_gen - is that midfield general by any chance?
  15. I can't see this. Only down 7.76% so far today.
  16. Well done RB. Shame about the creationism though.
  17. I transferred £23K out last week. Unfortunately my paired UK account is HBOS.
  18. You better post back if you're successful too Kings. Otherwise we'll just assume you were unsuccessful but then murdered by HBOS agents before you could get back here to tell us.
  19. Great summary of current society. I shall remember that one.
