  1. Call me naive. This is not a wind up - I am gutted. I have lost about £4K cashing out my e-gold thorugh EuroGoldSales. I was an idiot as I only took a chance on them because they were cheaper than London Gold Exchange. I transfered all my gold to their e-gold account on 1st March. This was my first mistake, as I had not used them. So what I thought, they are a DGCA member. First they took two weeks to process the sell order. Then they said they had paid it. Then they said it had bounced back and my account number was wrong. Then when I gave them the correct account number they said the payment still didn't go through. Now I have cancelled the order, and asked them to repay me back to my e-gold account. That was friday. It's now tuesday and they're not answering the phone or responding to emails. Meanwhile, brokerage on e-gold has gone to 20% with LGE. Any suggestions of anthing I can do? Do you reckon I will ever see any of that cash? Cheers TC
  2. This will hurt many self employed who rely on cards through the bad times. Had lunch yesterday with another couple, he was self employed salesman, had a bad patch last year and had to spend his vat money to scrape by.
  3. Amazing this lady bought three flats in 2004 and is facing financial ruin now. Imagine if she'd bought three flats last year???
  4. These people generally have more bargaining power than "with chain" sellers, but are also freeer to reduce if they have to. Stanton Warriors by any chance?
  5. I can see the sun headline: "I took out a credit card and lost me 'ouse" Silly Bint
  6. In other news, Converted Lurker launches www.BTLloosers.com, a repository of hillarious testimonials from failed developers.
  7. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/87601c60-f518-11...?nclick_check=1 What do they mean by "unlisted sector" of the residential property market?
  8. This is the most read story on the BBC website now!
  9. Yup me too. LL didn't even suggest a rise. Just extended with same terms.
  10. Here's a tip. Sign your main residence over to your wife's name.
  11. Me and missus went to look at dining table the other day. Amazing what you can get for 400£ (our budget). Solid oak table with four chairs!
  12. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7275485.stm Well I hope that those one in five are not hoping for a gov. bailout, as they'll be dissapointed when they get none. Edit: sorry marmite didn't see your post there http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=69876
  13. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7274889.stm Love that quote at the end. Auctions are still very popular, 15% more than last year, wow thats excellent. Except, wait. Doesn't that mean.... Yes, it means that 15% more people are screwed than last year. Edit: Damn you, Homeless.
  14. I think you'll find that vfr was merely quoting a real estate forum circa 2002.
  15. I'm in for £50. I'm serious. Although the idea of taking to the streets in good old fashioned prol style fills me with horror, I am seriously willing and able to commit cold hard currency to the cause, from my comfy armchair of course. I think an advert in the nationals would be an excellent step in bringing people to their senses. Nothing like it has ever appeared. Mind you the 'liberal' media would probably block the ad from appearing. If anyone is willing to undertake this seriously, count me in financially. Unless you are an ex Nigerian minister for transport who has just come into a large sum of money.
