  1. Yep, customer service in both public and private sector is at all time lows. I’ve noticed anyone who is paid minimum wage (almost all of retail) just does not give a fig about their performance.
  2. The upper class thinking they are above the rules— nothing changes.
  3. Could have done without the previous government interference— HTB and stamp duty holiday
  4. If they increased income tax bands in line with inflation then no one could complain.
  5. What would you have liked Labour to have been reinvented as? What would be your key policies?
  6. Bang on, yet I hear hardly any higher rate tax payers with kids going mad about it
  7. The amount of new reg cars on the road and around my neighbourhood indicate many people have plenty of money to burn. A lot are Boomers with mortgages paid off and not affected by interest rates.
  8. They are going to have to backtrack on their idea to freeze all tax bands until 2026. Buying off the electorate is all they can turn to now.
  9. My original response questioned why some bloke on the Telegraph comments section specifically mentioned Diane Abbott (with reference to her poor numeracy, not her racism) and David Lammy (no reason given because the author couldn't think of one apparently) when listing a grand total of four Labour MPs who would apparently be a disaster when in Cabinet, even though Abbott would be nowhere near it if they win a GE. No ones telling me that those two MPs they do not receive higher levels of animosity from a subset of the electorate because they are black. However, I understand that people with low self-esteem and incel types need others to attack and targeting these politicians are low hanging fruit.
  10. We need a website that rates how well a given own brand compares to the branded version. For multiple products I have not found an own brand equivalent that compares to the quality of the branded one— crunchy nut cornflakes being a good example!
  11. Why is he mentioning Abbott, she’d be nowhere near Starmer’s cabinet? A lot of hate for Abbott and Lammy from white working/faux middle class types is a bit of a recurring theme though— I wonder why?🤔
  12. The cost of some rents I’ve seen recently for what are essentially third world properties is incredible.
  13. Same demographic are the ones rolling around in brand new cars too.
  14. The owner should be getting life imprisonment for this crime and others who contributed also severely punished.
  15. Some of those countries also have compulsory id cards. Showing your oap bus pass doesn’t count.
  16. Same here. Going in is a nightmare, got to book desks and then it’s busy and noisy— basically can’t get any work done. Only downside is “visibility”; being chummy with the right people is still the best way of getting ahead it seems.
  17. While Joe Public are still willing to pay the supermarkets ever increasing prices inflation isn’t going anywhere. Supermarkets need investigating.
  18. Even 99% of workers don’t seem to be aware of, or care about, fiscal drag.
  19. No one going to benefit until 2025 at any rate. On the other hand pension changes are effective immediately.
  20. Completely agree. Expectations are so low in general. Half the population think £40k is a mega salary. Not having a pop at the original message but £70k is chicken feed if you have to pay £1,500 a month for childcare.
