You can hold it via financial investments and don't have to self custody as the ETF is spot so holds actual Bitcoin 1:1. I'm doubtful the FCA will allow normies in the UK to buy it though as the Swedish ETN's (same thing as a ETF) that i have held in my SIPP since 2018 were banned for new purchases from 2021.

Your Maths is not great. It would take a 100% drop in November for "nobody" to want them vs November 2022. Seems that 83% of the people in November 2023 vs 2022 did want them. The consensus in EV circles is that ICE Manufacturers , and Even Tesla, are holding back UK BEV sales now to push them into Q1 2024 for ZEV sales / credits to help meet the new 22% ZEV mandate (now law) that comes into force next year Jan 1st. There is no benefit for them selling more BEV's in 2023 now, so pushing BEV deliveries back to 2024 would be what any sensible car maker would do with the UK. They could have launched the ID 3 in 2019, but delayed in to 2020 as tougher EU mandated Fleet CO2% came in in 2020 so they held back pretty much all 2019 BEV sales until 2020.
