  1. Went down to Weymouth yday to watch the sailing. Drove straight in to the town at about 12pm, and parked in the railway station CP. No traffic anywhere. (Going back in the evening was pretty clear as well, even tho we went back during rush hour). They said Nothe Fort was sold out (c 4k tickets?) for the official ticketed area, but the northern breakwater, rocks under the fort, 1/3rd of the Nothe itself, and the Nothe Gardens are all free to enter (although there were guards counting people in & out). Reckon there were probably 1k people in our bit, so maybe 3k people watching o/s the tick

  6. Sorry to steal your thunder! I never ever pick up the Standard, but I made an exception tonight. Good bear food even if people don't pick it up, basically outside every tube & rail station tonight it's shouting "House prices fall in London". I live in South London, but I'm only buying when there is blood in the water.

  9. For 630 you can probably get a house the same size needing a bit of work (with room to expand blah blah) on Hydethorpe, within the Henry Cavendish catchment. I guess if you put this on at a stupid px, you'll get some genius offering 5-10pc under, thinking they've got a bargain, and actually offering 50-100 over what a normal person would pay.

  11. Sat in v expensive Balham but beginning to think about returning to the land of my fathers (well grandfather from Lleyn and grandmother from Swansea). Not sure who the Londoners are who are selling high & buying low (well, pretty high) in Wales. Not much selling round our neck of the woods, but anecdotally most people are (still) moving to Surrey to commute in.
