  1. I agree with you in principle that that is the way it should be. But Estate Agents aren't that smart, and they will never believe that you are. They will believe absolutely that they can manipulate you. So I never give any information about my feelings on a property I have just viewed. If they ask for feedback, and they always do, I say I will consider it and get back at them.
  2. I don't get it. Why the discussion? The landlord or agent have no legal right to enter your home without a court order or your explicit permission. . Only the emergency services can come in without your or court permission. If you want to stay on good terms with the agent then you should perhaps do whatever they tell you. That is your decision as whether your personal privacy is worth more to you.
  3. I was a tenant. The Letting Agency told me they were coming to check the house, as was their right according to the letting contract. I said NO. End of story. Of course I would never trust the Landlord or Letting Agent with the key to my front door. Why on earth should I? It is MY home just so long as I pay the rent. So I change the lock. To do otherwise seems to me to be rather silly and naive.
