  1. Had a great conversation with a relative over the weekend. He has a very senior position at DTCC. He was clueless about bitcoin as of a couple of months ago, says the usual stuff about being a ponzi without understanding what a ponzi is. Doesn't understand that bitcoin could replace a large part of what DTCC does. His inability to critically analyse bitcoin shocked me a bit. I can't help hoping that bitcoin really does start to shake some ivory towers into the future.
  2. II have set some orders on kraken for under 300 euros. Who knows if we'll get there again but if we do I'll be able to hoover a few up without having to keep an eye on the price. Very impressed with kraken. Money transferred from the UK is credited to my account within the day and BTC, LTC, XRP can all be traded. Better than Bitstamp IMO
  3. Anyone using Kraken to buy / sell bitcoins, litecoins, Ripple, etc?https://www.kraken.com Their service seems to be very good and has many more features than bitstamp.net
  4. Sorry no time for lengthy reply so will have to post this link. Explanation Watch the video
  5. http://youtu.be/VDO7TDMlxsY Great interview from a man who appears to know what he's talking about. Richard Brown, chief architect IBM banking ' on the blockchain nobody knows you're a fridge!'
  6. Thanks for all the interesting info on this thread. Can anyone explain the significance of this chart? Blockchain hash rate Something spectacular means to be happening over the last month.
  7. Another interesting feature on gold was broadcast on The World Tonight at about 10.25. A debt Crisis was cited in South Korea where the citizens were heavily encouraged to hand in all their personal gold to the state to save the country from a debt crisis. People handed in their family heirloom gold rings etc all to save the state. People from South Korea were interviewed and they could not understand why people in Europe would not be willing to do the same thing in order to save their country and show their civil duty. Expect more of this in the future. First by voluntary contribution then by force.

  9. The fiat money system is corrupt and bears no relation to the real world. I will take as little part in it as I can. I refuse to be controlled by pieces of paper conjured out of thin air to save the banks and over indebted governments Due to playing the gold bull from 2005 I now have house and productive farmland mortgage free. Each month once my very modest bills are paid I put all my excess into self sufficiency and gold and silver. I don't care if the price is £100 per oz or £10,000 per oz. I don't want the paper.
