  1. I know it's wrong to have these thoughts, but there's a 1 in 2 million chance that our Prime Minister could have an adverse to the Oxford vaccine.
  2. More good news. Vir Biotechnology and GSK announce VIR-7831 reduces hospitalisation and risk of death in early treatment of adults with COVID-19 Probably better than Vit D.
  3. Great to see the "parents" anti mask astroturf group getting owned by kids on Twitter 🀣
  4. Lord Sumption trending on Twitter. He's upset the smiley brigade πŸ™‚ by backing vaccine passports. πŸ’‰πŸ›‚πŸ€£ Also, just come across sailor boy grayphil toadying up to Covid prediction failure Carl Heneghan.
  5. Prominent Covid denier on Twitter who provided inaccurate data for Daily Heil charts. Links to Covid Recovery Group. Civil servant. So who is Stat_O_Guy? His name is Jon O'Donnell, a civil servant who has been working for @DWP for the last 20+ years 9:06 AM Β· Feb 25, 2021Β·Twitter Web App James Neill - @jneill Replying to @jneill 7/ In 2015 Jon wrote a report for his employer, the @DWP Foreword was by the then Minister @Mark_J_Harper . Mark Harper is now Chair of @SteveBakerHW 's lockdown-sceptic Covid Recovery Group. I wonder who provides the data and analytics to the CRG...
  6. The UK is not competent enough to roll out vaccine passports. Pub contact tracing involved people writing whatever they felt like on piece of paper at the door. There is no way we'll have passports. The UK will be safer than Europe this year with all those dirty anti-vaxxers. Staycation all the way.
  7. And Hancock knows a bit about acting too. Bet you can't wait to take the Blue Pill
  8. Has anyone tried Gwyneth Paltrow's Kimchi Covid remedy? I know quite a few on here like to promote quack cures. NHS saying it's no good, surprisingly. Apparently she also sells a candle that smells like her nunny. If that's your thing. 😳
  9. 0.2% of the entire population of the UK have now died of Covid. Flu IFR is estimated around 0.1% But still we hear the usual suspects making the false equivalence. "Acceptable deaths" etc. /carlbaker/status/1364148161745457152?s=20https://twitter.com/carlbaker/status/1364148161745457152?s=20
  10. Wow. I've only just gotten round to watching Contagion. Cronenberg was right on the money with the Jude Law character.
  11. SAGE docs say there will a substantial increase in hosptalisations/deaths. Be lucky HPCers.
  12. Well, Boris has battled the experts to f*** up summer. All to placate the baying ERG/CRG mob. πŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈ Well done Johnson. πŸ‘ Lockdown 4 nailed on?
  13. Tim Spector says vaccine side effects more likely in those who have had Covid.
  14. A clever choice of words, but a meaningless statement. A person's chances of dying once they have Covid are a function of many factors. Plenty of evidence to suggest that risk of contracting Covid are higher for teachers than the general population. As you are well aware, wanting to reduce risk does not mean elimination, just trying to do whatever is practicable to minimise transmission. The honourable member for the Covid Recovery Group on BBCQT last night was trotting out the well rehearsed lines of acceptable deaths and false equivalents with flu that we've heard so often on here. Expect to hear a lot of sympathetic journalists assiting Government messaging that schools are magic places where noone get Covid, in the next few days.
  15. BBCQT have a Covid Recovery Group nut job on. πŸ™„ Lots of torturing of data going on in the media the last few days around schools. This must be the "PR" push, which is supposed to "reassure parents that schools are safe". Zero discussion of mitigating measures for safely opening schools. Schools have been closed for another 2 month and literally no plan to make them safe. Shameful.
  16. NIRP WARNING, NIRP, NIRP Banks given 6 months to prepare for negative interest rates
  17. I floated the idea of a move to Scotland with Mrs TtR today. Not well received, sadly. πŸ˜”
  18. β€˜The perfect target’: Russia cultivated Trump as asset for 40 years – ex-KGB spy
