  1. Over 50 viewings and still up for sale? Winter's coming, hard time to sell - go back in March 2012.
  2. Think about bank guarantees were a Liechtenstein bank to fold. As has been said - high charges, no interest. Avoid ALL Swiss banks, worse than the UK ones.
  3. Hold, GBP will not appreciate against the current value, IMO next year it'll be ~1.33 CHF / GBP.
  4. A nice gaff but there's far better value on the market at the moment.
  5. a) It's Millers who are crap with the internet. A sense of humour Here's the full spec: http://chycor.co.uk/cottages/marazion-cherrytree/
  6. I'm watching all new property in Cornwall via Rightmove and am seeing lots & lots of horsey 'stuff' coming on the market, for example here's today's offering: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-16759185.html?utm_content=ealertspropertyimage&utm_medium=email&utm_source=emailupdates&utm_campaign=emailupdatesjun11&utm_term=buying&sc_id=5797254 All going bust or...?
  7. Stupid EA: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-19997925.html?utm_content=ealertspropertyimage&utm_medium=email&utm_source=emailupdates&utm_campaign=emailupdatesjun11&utm_term=buying&sc_id=5737829 Don't you think I would like to see what the bungalow looks like???
  8. And the Wednesday award goes to... http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-19983090.html?utm_source=rmrssfeed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=buying Couldn't be bothered to take photos outside or of the rear garden? What a p.l.o.n.k.a
  9. An extra 10p on a pint of beer come the next budget House - down down, deeper and down
  10. Very nice location, very nice gaff, too expensive IMO - 550k would be better. I don't agree about access If it's on next spring I would be interested. Who's the artist BTW?
  11. Nah - £275k on a good day As a wrote previously somewhere, news of the recession / downturn hasn't quite reached Cornwall. Many inhabitants still think Queen Victoria's still on the throne.
  12. They're learning, 2/10 for effort. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-35112749.html?utm_source=rmrssfeed&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=buying Delightful ???
  13. IMO this will never happen, Cameron is not that stupid. The Yanks are though
  14. And I'll tell you what - some of the prices are on the daft side of crazy, others sensibly priced. Probate sales seem to be much more realistic. The 'we need to get what we paid' are living on another planet. Next year should see some nice blood-letting in Cornwall
  15. I heard some daft woman on BBC Radio Cornwall wobbling on about the NHS being the envy of the world. She sounded like she had never been further than Plymouth.
  16. You can always sell a second home. Second wives - shoot 'em.
  17. To be honest not much will. Student loans, little chance of much economic growth etc.
  18. Same here, the price falls are pleasing. What's also good to see is houses for sale which are already empty; owners *have* to sell, so there will be more price falls. I've also seen a very nice house in Truro reduced from 950k to 875k, it'll sell for closer to 750k I bet.
  19. "The world's biggest economies are close to grinding to a halt as uncertainty across the financial markets hampers growth, an influential think tank has said" What utter nonsense. There may be little growth but over here on the continent the economies are bopping along very nicely. Daily Mail - who would admit to reading that garbage?
  20. I'm watching Cornwall in the ~ 500k range - and seeing very healthy price drops & not too much new stuff coming onto the market. OK - not your normal resident market but a bounce? Not even a dead cat bounce in Cornwall.
  21. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. Great news! Thank-you FT
  22. Excellent news, and it's from Summer as well. By the time I buy next year it'll be even better.
