  1. Reduced from 485k to 425k http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-39195905.html
  2. Dear Miller&Son, When adding 595k properties to Rightmove don't you think that a few photos of the inside would be a good idea? http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-38895515.html
  3. I agree - it's obvious when a house is priced to sell compared to a 'we'll just sit it out in the hope...' listing. Also a few of the EA's are plain lazy with the listings, it's a shame they don't show the exact location, it would save so much time woth google maps. I plan to be over in mid-November with a list of properties to look at, before then I'll no doubt have a list of questions for forum members. Here's a bungalow I like the look of: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-35063041.html
  4. Soon it'll just collapse. Me - I'm not going back to 'the rock', Cornwall is my retirement area. You would have to be a fool to move to the island from somewhere else, there are very dark clouds on the horizon and an incompetent government.
  5. Which is where I'm looking. 500k including stamp duty, bungalow with decent sized garden, pub withing staggering distance (1 mile or so).

  7. Interesting - the area I'm looking at is the south coast, seen some great properties there.
  8. So the webcams in Cornwall are run by the tourist board with a healthy spot of Photoshopping ?
  9. My thoughts entirely. Problem with Feb / March is some will decide to keep the price high in the hope that some daft plonka will buy their hut once the sun starts to shine. Anyway I'll be there as a cash buyer and will be ruthless.
  10. House prices hit by sharpest drop since 2009 Nationwide building society figures show a 0.7% decrease in July and a 2.6% annual fall From the Grauniad: http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2012/aug/01/house-prices-sharpest-drop-since-2009 i wonder how this will affect Cornwall - I plan to be over in November making a few offers in the retirement bungalow areas.
  11. OK, what do you think about this: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-34188082.html?utm_content=ealertspropertyimage&utm_medium=email&utm_source=emailupdates&utm_campaign=emailupdatesjun11&utm_term=buying&sc_id=5737829&onetime_FromEmail=true I like it, I'll be buying late 2012 / early 2013.
  12. Lots of houses on the market, many at silly prices, Chief Minister not being professional. Crash coming but it doesn't appear to be coming soon.
  13. At that price I like it as well. I'm now serious about buying in Cornwall later this year / early next year, max price incl. stamp duty of 500k. For my hobby of Amateur Radio it's a wonderful location, there are others of course.
