  3. I agree with you on that, the BBC seem's to have an obsession with the Muslims and thats from a Hindu's point of view.
  4. Hi Mags, try to send you a private message, however my profile does not allow me to do this, so had to post it on here.. This one is an easy one. Spinach/potato curry (sag aloo) Vegetable oil or vegetable ghee 1 potato, peeled and diced 1 onion, sliced 1 clove garlic, sliced 1tsp grated ginger root 1/4 tsp ground cumin 1/4 tsp ground turmeric 1/2 tsp ground coriander 1/4 tsp chilli powder 250g (9 oz) fresh spinach or use tin spinach 1/4 tsp salt A dash of lemon juice Instructions 1) Pour some boiling water into a saucepan and boil the potato cubes for a few minutes until almost cooked. 2) Heat oil or ghee in a saucepan over medium heat and fry onion and spices until onion is slightly browned. 2) Add spinach and drained potato cubes and turn down heat. Add salt and lemon juice and simmer (covered) for about 15 minutes until cooked. enjoy
  5. If anybody interested, I can provide a tradional Curry recipe made from scratch (taste much better than curries you get from the resturant). Good traditional stuff from my dear mother.
  6. I should have felt sorry for them after I read the article instead it put a little smile on my face this morning. ;-)

  8. I have closed my ING account and opened an account with http://www.icicibank.co.uk/ they are offering saving rate of 5.40 percent. Not sure how long that will last but its an attractive rate in the meanwhile.
  9. No surprise there. Must be something to do with people using Digital Camera's !!!! I don't think people should be too concerned about the job losses as this was expected anyway.
  10. So why are you weery of them ? Well let me guess, is it something to do its an Indian Bank !! ????????
  11. I jjust opened a savings account with http://www.icicibank.co.uk/ an indian bank who are offering 5.40 percent interest. They are regulated by the FSA. I will be closing my ING saving account.
  12. Hello. Just received the following email from ING about interest rate cut: "" We are writing to inform you that as of 1 August the ING Direct savings rate will be 4.75% AER*. Over the past few months the overall trend in savings rates has been down and in response many of our competitors have already reduced their rates. We have held our rate for as long as possible, however this continuing downward trend now requires us to act. This still represents a very competitive figure in the marketplace and applies to all ING Direct customers regardless of the balance they hold. We remain committed to providing a consistently good rate to our customers and are proud of the open and honest approach we bring to the savings market, with a straightforward savings account with no hassle or catches. "" WHAT DOES EVERYBODY THINK ABOUT THIS THEN ?.
  13. Yes the BBC is at it again. I almost choked myself eating my breakfast and reading that article at the same time. People are still burying their heads in the sand. I can afford to buy my own place if I wanted to but sorry guys I refuse to pay these high prices.
  14. Still waiting for my email to be published on that talking point forum.
  15. What has happened to the spring recovery? according the media/estate agents thats prices would start rising again. Well its almost Summer !! still waiting . Its going to get very messy !!
  16. I will be visiting the New York in September. Good job I already booked and Paid for my Hotel accomodation back in January which was the largest expense in Dollars equal to roughly £700 with exchange rate 1.95 (approx). Obviously my spending money will be worth a bit less but main reason to visit the states is NOT purely for shopping thou, its more of a holiday. There's more to life than cheap IPODS, levi jeans, trainers etc.
  17. Hello Guys. I work in the IT department for the ADULT retail company called Ann Summers. We still expanding in the high street even thou other retail companies are going through a bad time. If a recession does happen I am sure business may boom for house parties. So think my job is pretty safe at the moment.
  18. Hi Everybody, need some advice about where to save my cash ( I gave up in purchasing property at the moment - well for the next couple of years anyway). Here the situation I'm in. I will be on the High Tax threshold for the first time. I have already used my mini cash-ISA allowance for year 2005/2006. I have a stakeholders pension which I am putting max allowed to make most of the tax - rebate. I have £1100 worth of premium bonds certificates Investing £834 per month (£10K a year) into my ING saving account (to be use as a deposit when I decide to purchase my own place). ============================== Can I do better ? Money that going into my ING saving account, should I invest somewhere else.. EG buy more premium bonds or any suggestion in where to stash my cash for a better return. Should I ditch my premium bonds account ? Much appreciate some advice.
  19. Let you know that my twin brother had his house on the market for nearly 4 months and still no sale. This time last year he would have no problems. The downturn has begun..
  20. I been with Smile for few years and never had problems with them, The banking system and customer service is pretty good. I would never move to another bank. You mentioned 0870 number, that is a non-geographical national rate number and yes is will cost around 10 pence per minute if calling from a mobile but cheaper from landline, However if you look on the website there is a alternative number which you can use which is 0161 477 1927. One thing I like about Smile customer service it that once I entered your bank details over the phone via Keypad, I am actually talking to a person who is based in UK and the staff are helpful and polite.
  21. That why I did not bother to watch the TV programme. Just the usual b*llo*ks.
  22. So you half jamican and half irish ? How dare you write on this forum with bigoted views, how would your mother/father feel about this? . Its seems to me that you are a bitter and twisted person who needs help..
  23. BrainClamp, I think you need to take a chill pill, Getting bored with you rants especially when you keep mentioning immigrants.
