  1. NEWS FROM THE FRONTLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Right then, Let me let you into a little secret on a Friday afternoon. My partner works for a solicitors that repossesses properties at the request of their client - their client being a fairly unscrupulous lender that specialises in giving mortgages to people that struggle to get a mortgage on the high street - eg CCJ's/people who cant get credit etc etc. Anyway, lets just say that in previous years her company was repossessing a couple of properties per month. However, things have changed very dramitically in the past 3 months and they are now repos
  2. I cant believe it!!!!!!!!!!! I thought sod it and put in a provisional offer of £800............. 2 minutes later the landlord phoned the estate agent and accepted!!!! He told the agent the most important thing was that he had 2 professional people (me and the girlfriend) in there for a year........................a good landlord?!?!..........surely not!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your replies guys........... Rent-A-Ghost AKA Claypole
  3. Hi there peoples, I need your advice............ I'm just about to rent a 2 bed cottage - its up for £875 per month - the estate agent has already indicated that the landlord will drop to £850 - its not on the market yet and the estate agent has showed me the property first - i really like the place and dont want to lose it by bargaining too hard before it goes on the market, but what realistically should I offer without taking the p**s???? Quick advice please as i need to make an offer in the next hour............i will return with my result later............. Maybe next year i wont ha
  4. Hello peoples, I've discovered a more accurate way of finding out the supply change in the numbers of properties for sale, instead of using the unreliable Fish4Homes figures. If you go into www.findaproperty.co.uk then narrow the search down to pick your area that you are interested in, then over a certain time period you can monitor the changes fairly accurately. For Example: I go into findaproperty.co.uk, select 'London North Of River', then select 'Enfield, Southgate & Winchmore Hill', then see 'Enfield' or 'Bush Hill Park' for the sales numbers. Enfield currently at 375 for sale an

  9. ZZG113, I'm very worried about investing 50k over the internet cos ive heard too many horror stories. What happens if someone hacks into my ING account? How am i covered if that was to happen. Is ING the best internet account to get then? Or are there restrictions etc...... please let me know. If you can convince me that this is the way to go and it is NOT AT ALL RISKY then I will consider it, but i'm so scared about losing this money that ive worked my life for!!!! Please come with more advice people....... Thanks. Rent-A-Ghost.
  10. Guys & Gals, I would really appreciate if any of you could give me some savings advice based on the following: I have 50k to invest at a maximum notice period of 3 months - just in case house prices collapse so badly that i can buy 5 houses!!!! Only joking......... I dont want to put it in an internet account. I want to put it in an established high street bank/building society. I want the highest interest rate possible. Please help. Best regards to you all. Rent-A-Ghost
  11. I'm disgusted with Krusty & Spence after what I saw on Location Constipation Constipation......whatever its bloody called, last night. I could not believe what they were telling the FTB's on the programme to do................and couldnt believe she wore the same damn outfit for 3 different days in the programme - dirty cow!! Maybe she should have been on 'Too Posh To Wash'!! The couple they were 'advising' to buy a property were interested in a place that an offer had already been accepted on, at about 5k below asking price. I was amazed when they told the couple to gazump the other bu
  12. Thanks to everyone who has replied - it's very much appreciated.............. Right, i'm off to get a can of petrol and some matches!!!! Rent-A-Ghost
  13. Hi PriceCrash peoples, I need your advice................ I rent a middle flat in an old Victorian house - the house has been split into 3 flats with no soundproofing whatsoever and wooden floors throughout. I've had major grief in the last 18 months with the tenants upstairs. Basically soundproofing is non-existent. Different landlords for each flat. The room above my bedroom is also the main bedroom in the top flat. I get woken up even if people just walk in the room because of the terribly creaky floorboards, I can hear them talking even quietly and I can even hear then going for a pee!
  14. The argument that there is a lack of housing is simply a bunch of old ****!!!! That argument has just helped to propel this stupid housing bubble even higher...... There's so many To Let signs in my area that proves it is utter rubbish. By the way, i just could'nt help myself when a To Let sign went up for the flat above me - I just had to change the sign with a black marker pen to TOILET - after our last noisy neighbours, hopefully any propective tenants will now see it then think twice, not bother moving in and give us a few months of bloody peace!!!! When you email him tell him that he's soon going to have to leave his job soon, to retrieve Elvis from the moon!!!! While he's there, tell him to go to the Space Hat Shop and get a hat for Krusty Kirsty Ass-slapper - can't wait to see her eat a straw hat live on Richard & Judy!!!! Rent-A-Ghost
