May has just come out with a very strong speech. Said that BREXIT is BREXIT, that the British people have spoken and that there is no going back now or trying to change the will of the British people. Also said that there should not be another general election until 2020. Said that the government's duty is now to negotiate BREXIT. Said some stuff about the economy.

The US markets appear to have hit 2030 on the S&P 500 as resistance and are now heading back down. Today will be very interesting for the markets generally. If the Yanks can continue up then crisis over. If they head back down today then FTSE and other markets probably will go lower again this week - perhaps tomorrow - so just watching and waiting now.

The last two times we have had sizeable corrections in the markets - Jan 2016 and August 2015 - were buying opportunities. If you had chosen some choice stocks you could have made some serious money. The question now, of course, is what is going on with contagion as the banks are going down down like nine-pins at the moment. Will we get a bigger sell off of US markets into the mid 1900s or even into the 1800s on the S&P. I hope so as I have my eye on quite a few company shares.
