  1. As an American I have to say. I love you Avator.
  2. I don't understand what your saying! http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?...190312/1071/BIZ
  3. I don't know, I heard one mortgage broker say a no doc was great if, for example, and I quote "you are new to the area and don't have a job yet." I so wished I had TIVO right then. IMHO the US and the UK are very close in there bubbles, the only difference is how prices are figured. For example, in the US the median is figured by houses sold, and they record them with the county when they sell. In short our relaitors can't hid the crash as well as your EAs.
  4. Maybe Bruno could give a powerpoint presentation. You know, from the umbrella convention.
  5. Yep, I'm in Nevada, and t's gunna hurt. However, I hear you can still buy a home in Gabbs Nevada (AKA BFE) for $18K.
  6. That is interesting. Very different from what I am seeing on the ground. http://www.kold.com/Global/story.asp?S=4802278 Sticker shock at the pump is fueling brisk business for pawn shops. People are pawning possessions to get cash for gas.
  7. I gotta love that. 7 in 10 expect the bubble to burst, but only 4 in 10 expect their housing bubble to burst. The "it wont happen here because bla, bla, bla."
  8. Um, there is no presidental election in 2006. We do have elections coming up, but they are for all of the House of Rep, 1/3 of the Senate, and states will have local electons (for example some states will be voting for govenor. and local issues) the Electoral College will have NOTHING to do with any of these elections. Even if Bush & Cheney were impched, say for criminal leaks. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060406/ap_on_go_pr_wh/cia_leak Dennis Hastert, Speaker of the House of Representatives would be our next president until 2008.
  9. My understanding was that the troops during WWl were hit very hard. Maybe living in a trench had something to do with it? (and for the recond, I'm no doctor, and could be very wrong).
  10. I drive a Honda Odyssey, it's an 05, and yep we bought it new. We do a reverse car payment. Meaning we save the car payment then go with cash to the dealer. While the car salesman might frown, they have yet to back out of the deal. And we keep the fact that we are paying cash to ourself until after we have agreed on a price. Because we save the money frist we always have to choice of deciding we don't want the car that bad, and cutting back on the amount we save. Don't buy stuff you can't afford. http://danwho.net/mp/index.php?id=snl_dontbuystuff
  11. They say it's a one bedroom, but then they say the main bedroom is on the first foor & what would be on the second floor? What am I missing?
  12. 7% on an ARM is very high and 10.5? Somethng is rotten in Denmark. Either they had very poor credit or were taken. I don't believe that is legal in the US. For the most part no one is alowed to ask your age, only that you are over 18 (the legal age to sign a contract). Or 21 (the drinking age)
  13. Have you guys seen this? http://overvalued.blogspot.com/ While it's America's overvalued Real Estate blog. I believe he (?) is a Brit, I can "hear" his accent & he took his famly to Sherwood Forest, in Nottingham.
  14. I wonder what bills they paid off. A major medical problem like cancer can cost tens of thousands dollars for people with insurance. Realistbear talked about the pension. When they took the loan their financial picture might have looked very different. I don't know about you guys, but really I don't want a 72 year old nurse looking after me in the hospital.
