  1. This study has been done by the Halifax, ask youself why. Whats in for them, do they want; a) The BOE to reduce IR to make it more affordible for folks to buy. BTLers to buy more property as they seemed to have stopped. Thats right is aimed at the BLTers who have stopped buying for fear of a crash, the study has been done to reassure the Landlords and BTLers that all is fine because you will have tenants for life if this keeps up. REPEAT AFTER ME THE HALIFAX ARE A BUNCH OF TO$$3R$.
  2. You're wrong, muppets that bought them are now so poor they can afford furniture or curtains thats why they look empty, if you look very closely you might just see one hunting through the bins in the basement for dinner.
  3. It has been well known amoungst Property speculators that the market is saturated with new builds flats, well now is you turn to play to game and see for youself. First of all go to http://www.rightmove.co.uk/rm/ then slect the following options 1) Type of Property or Land: Flats/Apartments 2) Newly Built Homes:new and resale homes then enter any location you like, for my example I've chosen Ipswick then press go. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/search.rsp/svr/...bmit_dosearch=1 First one starts at £119,000 Second comes on at £115,000 Third comes down an impressive 15K at £99,950. Come on play the game, join in.
  4. Cracking web site charlie, it just put into perspective how percarious the whole property market is if the average household has an income of £300 a week, which by the way is roughly how much the average mortgage would be if they bought now, this is truely shocking. Assume average house is £170K @ 6% IR over 25 years. nearly £1100 PCM.
  5. Got it in one, recently we saw the 0% deals end, so most are thinking why pay 15.9% on a credit card when I can get a personal loan at 5.9% and pay off the plastic. Not sure why ten times more was borrowed though, maybe they fancied a new motor.
  6. Whats wrong with £18K, with that kind of money and TTRTR brain power they could be millionaires in 12 months.
  7. Everytime I hear soft landing I have this image in my head of Newtons apple falling from the tree and landing in a cow sh**.
  8. Half baked shared owner schemes will only prolong the bubble and make the eventual outcome worse, a short sharp shock is needed here, like a doubling of borrowing costs, fannying about with equity share is like trying to heal a bullet wound with a plaster.
  9. Hello my name is TTRTR, BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH I'm worth £80 Million now and only started with 2p.
  10. Whats phase 3 going to be, two free Minis with every purchase.
  11. http://www.landlords.org.uk/press/press2005.asp#story Just awell really cos they ain't getting that anymore.
  12. "Open to offers" usually means the Vendor has a face like a smacked ar$se would really appreciate a ***g.
  13. What happens to the houses that come on to the market due to landlords selling up such properties, they get bought by renters, fewer renters for you goodself means rent falls as you compete for a smaller share of the market, wouldn't you agree.
  14. MP3 tunes shouldn't cost anything like 79p, it crap quality when compared to CD or even Casette, I'd rather pay £7.99 for an album from the internet than down load some compress pile of crap called MP3, have to tried to listen to it on a decent stereo system it sounds like the artist are performing in a cupboard, rant over.
  15. F***me, it all make perfect sence now, AE) "I think your cardboard box is worth £1 Million pounds" AE) Thinking aload ", @ 2% that'll be £20K please, mmm" Vendor) "but but its only worth £20.00" EA) "aeh don't worry about that I should get £1 Millinon for it" 2 weeks later EA) "I think is woth only £20.00 , just got a buyer at £17.00, where is my 20K commision". Vendor) "$£%^^&%^*&5 £$"%£$%£$ off".
  16. Dude stop worrying, 40% more Surveryors are reporting falling prices than rising. 30% less tranactions than this time last year. Worst Spring bounce for 10 years : source Nationwide. Lowest number of first time buyers in history (20%) and falling. The market it stuffed, just sit back and watch the fireworks.
  17. Another classic quote was, by lunch time we had lost 30 million, nobody was buying just selling, does this sound familar.
  18. Also in the Queens speechtomorrow, hunting with hounds is comming back but the foxes will be replaced by Estate Agents. On hearing the news one farmer was quoted as saying "One pest is as good as another".
  19. Have you thought about renting, its all the rage and its cheaper.
  20. In 1971 £700 was the annual wage how could this have been the average monthly mortgage, you do speak from your bottom.
  21. I know what, what about -5%, the bank pays you to spend their money, that will surely keep the bubble going, I wonder if Gordan has thought of this.
