  1. Can people recommend a website of the type that covers all auctions in England (or more specifically the South)? I see that some websites promise you more information, advice and, more importantly, real updated information on the individual properties if you pay them a fee, but I would only pay a fee to a reputable site and one with several satisfied customers. Thanks
  2. To those who regularly buy property or even those who found their dream home in an auction, can you recommend a website of the type that covers all auctions in all the UK (or at least England)? I see that some websites promise you more information, advice and, more importantly, real updated information on the individual properties if you pay them a fee, but I would only pay a fee to a reputable site and one with several satisfied customers. Thanks
  3. As a seller I would want to know about every offer, regardless of your status, but to do things like taking the house off the market and turning down other offers, you have to substantiate your status like showing your mortgage offer. Careful with that advice above, about making low offers, if you really want that property! People who make ridiculously low offers are not taken seriously. If you add to this refusing to show you have the means to buy the house, the seller will just move on.
  4. Does anybody know where to find investors in property in the UK? Is there a service/website/bureau to introduce investors to private individuals looking for private investors? I am not talking about the investors who buy properties at a knock-down price for cash. I am talking about what is known as co-investor. Thanks
  5. I know that people in auctions are looking for a bargain, but does anybody know of any statistics of how much properties in good condition achieve in auctions? I am talking about properties that are not "projects", i.e. they do not need refurbishment or are even new. Also, I am talking about houses that have not been re-possessed as I know that the mortgage companies are prepared to let them go for a song. When I say "how much" I mean what percentage of an estate agent asking price or the market value they achieve. Any pointing to statistics in the web will be appreciated.
  6. Has anybody managed to sell a property privately recently? In particular using those websites that claim all kinds of successes. I tried with a property some 5 years ago and the business was in its infancy. It was of no use. I ended up selling the property with the 3rd Estate Agent I hired. I would try to sell a house privately, as well as using an agent, in order to increase the chances of success. I just do not want to waste my money on the site that calls itself the leading UK private sales site: www-thelittlehousecompany-co-uk Ta
