  1. I agree with you but there is a major difference with today's bombings. As fare as I remember, IRA was always calling for warnings and places were evacuated. Now the aim is to kill as many as possible. Still statistically you have more chance to die in a car crash than in a bomb attack. But I have to say that I am more happy to take a car than the tube now. Yes I am scared in the tube. Now, I think that much more would have to happen to influence house price in London. I hope this will not happen... Anyway to put a bit of joy in this post: Price will go down on their own, nothing else needed now!! TWT
  2. No but you do not understand it is different this time Seriously, I agree with you, and now that everything points at a dive... Warnings are flashing everywhere. I just think that it is very difficult for people to accept that their asset value will tumble (20,30,40% that I do not know) and that their wealth is artificial. I feel sorry for some but many of them have been pretty stupid. They took unreasonable risk and they will pay for it. 3 years ago I said it would crash, I was wrong, but I also said that the longer I would be wrong the worse it would be when it pops. I did not expect it would reach such a dramatic situation. Hold on to the grip! Ready for the ride guys? TWT
  3. Well, I am not so sure, but I strongly beleive that they are stuck: one side is inflation the other a massive number of people who will be in big trouble with just a little increase in IR. If BoE target is really inflation, UK rates will go up I agree! TWT
  4. Yes true, I have seen people saying, I do not want to be alone when I get old... a child is part of my retirement.... amazing... sad.... TWT
  5. Hi, Of course it is, look what gets in you pocket each month, look what goes out, see if you can sacrifice certain things and you know if you can afford a child.... So simple. But yes I recon a bit sad to have to think money when it comes to a child. On the other hand, I think many couple have children selfishly. They "want one" and they think about their pleasure first before thinking about what they are doing, I mean providing the child with good chance of having a happy life... Without wanting to be offensive do you have a high income? Sorry I just have been upset today by a guy whose girlfriend works hard (poor girl she has long hours, she work hard…. and that for only 40k….) obviously blinded guy! I have long hours I work hard, I am not stupid, I have PhD, I only earn 25k . (she is in finance I am in research….no comment) TWT
  6. Hello to all, True, English is not my native language (well I think it is obvious now ). Thanks for your understanding. However I recon I should and can do better: I need to write in English on a regular base for my publications (I work in research), it is not easy and it takes me time. I try to progress. I have not been careful at all in my message, sorry about it. Anyway if anything good comes out of it, it is the confirmation of what kind of person Perplexed is... just rude and not constructive... Perplexed, to answer your question, it is no, I am neither a 5 nor pi**ed. I let you know that the bad writing was also very much due to the HPC excitement (it makes me a bit euphoric those days). Sooner or later it will crash ! Perplexed, like me in English you have to learn a few things Thanks to all others for the welcome. TWT
  7. If we here beleiving in the crash are all right. My god it is not a crash we are heading for. It is a, well there are no words to describe it.. I thought evting was ok in spain and that it was still good to by in France. By the way it is fantastic new for the French they also wait for their buble to burst if buyers of summer holidays house are putting back on the market their house sure it is going to make really nasty.
  8. Answer to my own post!!!... I know I am not fluent in English, but sorry for the very bad text, will try to do better next time. Perhaps it is the excitement of the HPC
  9. ohohohohoho ahahahahahahah, love your little well placed sentence RB. I really hope for the big one now, I just still wonder if Cambridge will be affected to such extent, lots of demand and a nearby big hospital, so lots of staff nesd to have a house. I am p** off by people in my enviroment whose, here? it will never fall, very stable.... blabla one women thinks to retire in about 15 years and leave on the interests after sailing here house (valued 300K)... I think she is dreaming, but qtill quetion by how much this area will be affected by the crash. Any thought from you RB TWT
  10. In France they say pissing in a violon, it does matter, same effect! Start to smell the crash in France as well.
  11. good news, no... Fantastic news However I would question the quality of the article, I do not beleive in ...than a year and had £225,000 slashed from its original £1.3m asking price. Any explanation for that? Just a plain mistake? TWT
  12. At this levels no problem indeed! 50% crash pffff Still worth 150K cool! I beleive in the crash but I think that it need to be at least 34-40% and that I am not sure at all. I just hope as this time the bubble is worldwide, may turn very bad but still unsure L
  13. Hi, Nothing really constructive from here, but, I just want to ask if everybody have noticed the avalanche of bad news since the election, it does not stop! I do not want anybody to suffer, but, honnestly I want also to get a house one day without depriving myself of evthing in life because the repayment is so high , sorry for those who did stupid thing, but I think I which something very bad, -40% is my night dream. Bye for now A depresed but patient renter... Price crash? TimeWillTell TWT
  14. shit is this chart real? can you do the same with europe indices?
  15. Hi all, Beleive the crash is coming at last.... Moved to Cam in april, since then I have been surprised about the number of to let and For sale signes... But, they seem to go quite fast  I really think people try to cash in there profit and for sale do not stop appearing and I wonder how long this will go. But now for my personal case, I wonder what to do as I do not see a major crash here, -10-15% in the next to years at most. And if I do a simple calculation, renting 2-3 years would pay the 10-15% so is it worth waiting? + I have with my girlfriend a very high deposit Any advise, any views Crash? TimeWillTell, TWT

In my case, I wonder what to do as I do not see a major crash here, -10% in the next to years at most. And if I do a simple calculation, renting two years would pay the 20% so is it worth waiting?
