  1. Me too. One one hand, it'd be awesome, but on the other hand I'd have to find something else to rant about.
  2. Brilliant! That has brought a smile to my face this morning. Schadenfreude ist die schönste freude
  3. Sadly now pulled from its original location - it can still be found if you search for it, though. I'm with you - it's a great piece of film, I really liked it. It's a crap advert for flats though!
  4. I don't know how many of them there are in total, but there's one in Taunton that is also unused and probably costing us a fortune.
  5. They appear to be the 'bad bank' rump of Bradford and Bingley. Also, is it just me that has a little smile on their face when I read threads like that one?
  6. Dammit, it looks like I also fit the forum demographic: INTJ Introvert(44%) iNtuitive(75%) Thinking(88%) Judging(67%) You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (44%) You have distinctive preference of Intuition over Sensing (75%) You have strong preference of Thinking over Feeling (88%) You have distinctive preference of Judging over Perceiving (67%) The results from the other forums are interesting, particularly the Mumsnet one - with all the Hugzzzz, I can see how that type might dominate.
  7. I'm certainly feeling it, seeing BTLers suffering always warms my heart slightly
  8. Following on from that one, by the same authors - Going South http://www.amazon.co.uk/Going-South-Britain-Third-Economy/dp/0230392547/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373375131&sr=8-1&keywords=going+south
  9. To be honest, that's the only reason that I'm not even considering buying at the moment, houses look like poor value but the monthly payments at current interest rates would be comparable, or cheaper than renting, but there's still massive uncertainty. Now, if someone were to offer 3% 25 year fixed mortages, I think we'd just throw in the towel and buy. I know nothing in life is certain, but what a shame that owning your home has been turned into a form of gambling.
  10. I think we covered this one before: http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=180443 It still has scam written all over it to me.
  11. To be honest, having looked at a few near me, I can't understand why anybody would want to buy one.
  12. What a pointless load of sh*te that article is, I can't work out what they're trying to achieve unless someone at the Telegraph thinks that only 'investors' are buying houses these days. It looks like a thinly veiled advertorial for the agents concerned and they've chucked in potential rents for some reason. Still, sign me up for the £400K house that I could let at £650 a month, that looks like the road to riches to me
  13. And there was I hoping that his status as the biggest c**t ever had been recognised and rewarded. It's the only award he should be getting
  14. It's doing something, but it's not affecting mortgage rates, it's allowing banks to bring the savings rates down considerably. Ever since the FLS was introduced, savings rates have dropped whereas they were rising nicely beforehand.
  15. I thought she was quite sound and a worthy winner until the property management thing came up, then I instantly wanted the other one to have one. If 17 year olds still see pwoperdee as a surefire money making thing, what hope have we got...
  16. Never before was an election poster so prophetic.
