  1. Come on seriously? That second photo has to be photoshopped!
  2. In 2012 96% of steam coal imports came from Russia, Colombia and the USA. We don't need to dig it up ourselves. 75% of our coal is imported.
  3. But, given a makeover and some twigs in a vase it could be ok.
  4. Being so close to Highgate School, I can imagine this would be bought for the the childrens nanny to look after the kids or as a place for the parents to stay when visiting from China/Russia/ME.
  5. I was simply linking a story about Russia/Putin threatening to introduce a national payment system like Visa. I am not pro Putin or pro Camerabama. I have no influence over what happens in Ukraine and if I really cared, like you appear to, I would do something about it and not pick up on forum semantics and turn them into Damik against the world paranoia!
  6. I understand your main point entirely and it's very clear you are a sanctimonious *****.
  7. Putin is out smarting manouvering the West at every turn: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/russia-create-own-national-payment-130918273.html#03APfTG
  8. Exactly. I can imagine Putin has used similar language about the west in private.
  9. I'm sure it's just a vanity project for the Gidiot. Hw would put his own face on it if he could.
  10. These R&D companies should ask for a bailout, then they could offer huge bonuses too!
  11. +1 It's not just me then. Come on Errol, what's your fascination with Russia and Putin?
  12. I understand risk which is why I haven't bought. You seem to think there is logic in the housing market when clearly it's a rigged game.
  13. Cameron has announced government officials will boycott the Paralympics in Sochi in protest of Russian actions. Putin must be so upset!
  14. I don't follow your logic. Are you saying that everyone who took on absurd amounts of mortgage in the last 7 years will be worse off than us renters?
  15. You're forgetting about house price inflation. I work with a girl who a few years ago loaded up on debt to buy a 2 bed flat in crappy part of life London and is now selling up with 120k of equity. Sure, they are doing the same again on a bigger place but who's to say they won't profit from that too.
  16. I agree and am in a similar situation. I just don't understand the vehement castigation of posters who tell it as it currently is. You obviously want to buy a decent house in a good area at a realistic price or you wouldn't be on here. But let's face facts, prices haven't crashed, quite the opposite, and regardless of the dire economy which we've known about for years, they will continue to rise until... when? Of course, there will be a correction, but it could be in 15 years when you could have been living mortgage free and not give a schit.
  17. Sadly, I think you're right and I'm not a troll. Some posters here don't like to open their eyes to what has happened to house prices in the last 7 years. We all hoped for a correction, every year it seemed like it should come, but it didn't. 2014 is the price crash year, or maybe 2015, meanwhile all our ignorant peers have bought and are paying down their mortgages whilst we continue to fund our landlords lifestyle whom we all despise. I think we are a collection of tightarses craving a bargain, but at what cost. The only solution for me is to emigrate, life is too short to wait for something we have no control over.
  18. I would be interested if your opinion changes after reading this: My link
  19. Will do. Although my nail gun needs servicing soon!
  20. Really? I work in IT and have unauthorised access to many confidential documents in our business. If it's digital it's accessible.
  21. To be honest, I think the previous selling price or date is incorrect, unless the house was falling down.
