  1. Or the locals might be able to afford the houses the btl brigade all bought!
  2. Actually, I'll give a tenner to the first prisoner to knock off dimbletwat, we can live in hope!
  3. More human rights for prisoners, more benefits for our loved ones!
  4. ROFLMAO Would Scotland cope more like! Tbh I'd almost welcome a split!
  5. The LP writer has a point when he descibes our country. That said, I've never been impressed enough to acutally buy any of their guide books.
  6. I very much doubt they'd be able to keep the current levels of spending, so I voted NO. If they cut spending, then yes.
  7. A key thing is that it also fails to mention the probably weakening of the doller : Yuan exchange rate, making the US more competative.
  8. Seriously, can anyone win with this website? I say good on him, he's telling it like it is!
  9. Well I'd never thought about this, but if people know why it could be a vote winner for the coalition / Lib Dems! My mum came upto me earlier, she was dead chuffed. She said that she thought she'd had a pay rise, but she hadn't! Turns out she had more money because she no longer pays any tax due to the raise in the tax threshold. I told her what had happened and she was well happy! I wonder how many people will be in a similar boat and how many of these will realise why?
  10. What a tw@t I think labours imigration control is as simple as the passport officer saying "you can live in the UK if you vote Labour" ...
  11. £2k arrangement fee possibly? Also, some of these low fixed rates are fixed at X for 2 years, but have early repayment charges if you move before 5 years, ie they then bend you over for the 3 years after the fixed period.
  12. Nick Clegg said it's a "miserable little compromise"
  13. Two words ... Thanks Labour Rewarding the work shy whilst making those with jobs pay for them.
  14. Unreal, when the hell is this gravy train going to end?
  15. wow, nice return on the ones you bought 5 years ago!
  16. The EA tried to do the same to me, however I got a reccomendation from a mate and I went chose them instead, plus I saved a couple of hundred quid, EA wanted 1450ish and the independent one I went with was 1250. One thing I'll note is that the EA Sol wasn't accredited by the law socity, he was only a member of some conveyencying thingy. First direct (my lender) required my soliciter to be Lexcel (just yahooed it) certified, so I couldn't have gone with the EA chap anyway
  17. Correct, whilst HSBC might be increasing it's mortgage book, all the customers have been cherry picked, good credit rating and large deposit should = a win! They've been sucking up all the people with a 40% deposit, myself included!
  18. Tescos is a success story and there international expansion is something many have tried and failed at. Well done them, my only concern is domination, no one wants to see a Market dominated by only one supermarket.
  19. AV is a rubbish system and will cost loads to administer. One vote per person IMHO, then if they want to do proportional representation with those votes, then maybe. But the whole thing is ********. Why did we not have a referendum on the Lisbon treaty Gordon brown signed us up for? The eu as a whole, good idea but it's become far to beaurocratic and hasn't passed a single financial audit for 20yrs iirc, so i getting to the stage where it could be a good idea to pull out, but then we lose our voice. However if the eu made a europe wide burka ban, I'm sure it would get a lot more public support.
  20. I'd like to think I wouldn't sell to a slumlord, however not many normal ppl are buying. I've recently got a house, the neighbours were all having kittens thinking they're going to have a BTL house on the street. They were all pretty thankful when I said I'm going to actually live there myself.
  21. I was flicking through the daily mail and they've picked up on the BBC news bias during the migration debate. If you want to talk about migration, the BBC basically you a racist and tries to drown out any debate
  22. Question time is basically communist propaganda, it's disgusting that week after week utter left wing ******** is encouraged, which is portraid as the gospel truth. The communist parties Caroline Flint was on last week speaking rubbish on the national debt, thankfully some libdem bird set her straight, a small victory for truth on the BBC, where facts are strictly optional.
  23. Careful with money, can easily afford the repayments yet at 33 he only has a 10% deposit .... It does't add up so I can't really blame the Building Society
