In my opinion for safety :- 25% Cash 25% Bluechip equity 25% NS Bonds 25% Gold ETF Or if you're feeling fruity you can barbell :- 20% in each of the above and 20% in the riskier small cap gold mining and oil shares. ...but shop around for the best transaction costs.
