Hi, Don't have any direct experience of your area but in nearby North Dorset there has been a great deal of activity over recent weeks, many properties going SSTC/Under offer. As far as I can tell, these are a broad cross section of properties around £225-260K bracket and not just BTL type properties. It tells a completely different story to some posts on HPC forum. It seems there really is an upturn generally here, will it last though? I wish I knew as I am looking to buy in this area and don't know whether to go for it or hold for a few months.

Hi, I just made my first post this morning in the Regional/South West forum about exactly this. Rightmove and similar in North Dorset areas such as Wimborne, Blandford, Sturminster Newton etc now list a great many properties which on closer looking have become SSTC. or Under Offer. A huge change in a few weeks. Price range £250-300K. I have not received any opinions on whether these will complete or ----? Any ideas on this forum please?

As a brand new member with a great deal to learn I have been surprised to find when browsing Rightmove and similar, that a great many properties in North Dorset, Wimborne - Shaftesbury areas now show Under Offer or SSTC. There appears to be a mini housing stampede going on in the price point around £250K - £300K. This is not what I expected having read other posts here. What do members think? Will these offers go through or will mortgage shortages scupper many of them? Thanks, sorry for my incredulity!
