My parents are interested in building a bungalow on their property - it is a small farm and from reading through your initial link it would seem that they meet the criteria - farm has been in operation for more than 6 years, existing laneways are in place, no land has been sold for development, and it is close to existing buildings.
My question about this is are there any locations where this will be more difficult to obtain planning such as AONB, ASSI, etc?
Also, they do not require the property now - it is more of a long term idea (10yrs +) - how long do you feel that this part of the scheme will be in place? It does seem to me that there may be a case for bungalow blight starting up across the country if it is not managed correctly.
