  4. Why don't company cars get slated with additional car tax rather the standard 'Joe Public' . Quite a lot of company directors / managers cars are way over the 225 limit and they do many more miles than private car drivers. My feeling is that until these type of companies start cutting their cars back to ones that do 30MPG+ and under the 225 limit then I don't see why I should be concerned about cutting my car back to something more environmentally friendly. Look at all those polluting buses and trucks on the roads too. One question :- If car showrooms pre-register new cars and then sells them as ex demo , will these be classed as second hand and hence get exempt from the high 1 year tax or will they just give you cashback on new cars sold to cover the additional tax. I feel a loophole here already. Its not going to make any difference to car showrooms, The budget has just made one more stealth tax for us Joe Public to yet again stomach, it's just laughable. PS> The Suzuki Swift Sport does combined mileage of 39.2mpg for whoever said it did pre 30mpg.
  5. Well I thought London and the SE would show the largest percentage drops , but just look at North Yorkshire 25-30% Drops and the prices up here are no where near as expensive... http://www.propertysnake.co.uk/site/location/1146
  6. After hearing this nonsense this morning on Radio 4 , I'm convinced now that the Tories need a change of leadership. The guy is so out of touch with the current economic climate. Vince Cable appears to me to be the only one with any intelligence and this will change in a week when he's replaced.
