My large & local central London Sainsburys is playing their recorded message regarding "2 or 3 of each important item per customer - this includes hand sanitizer / soap / toilet roll and cleaning products" on loop - which is quite amusing as their shelves have been literally bare of of these items for more than 10 days running! Its actually completely stripped of all products now - virtually no fresh veg, no fresh meat / fish, no tinned goods, none of the key items mentioned above, no toothpaste ffs

  5. I must admit I'm really confused by this statement (my bold).... Of course there was a plan to lower rates and print before Brexit. That was the only Global plan for 10 years since GFC. In fact its still the plan from all the central banks now as the next global recession looms... Aren't central banks signalling that the next move will be down (some already started) and surely its fully expected that the "plan" started during the GFC will continue? Brexit clearly doesnt help, but I think the BoE would be following others (FED) anyway

  7. Aside from Assured Shorthold Tenancy and this proposal for all to become Assured Tenancy, are there many other types still in use? Is this an EA (or landlord) trying to wriggle out of the recent ban on fees, and possibly trying to sign a new tenant up to a different type of agreement... and therefore be forced to pay fees again?   10. May I ask - does this mean you were charged nothing at all for the process? (aside from the deposit protection amount, and the 1month rent in advance) If so this is great news & presumably they charged the credit check and contract to the LL... I thought I read somewhere that "reasonable cost" of credit check and contract (e.g. reasonable cost of £4 and £20 respectively) might still be billable to tenant Thanks
  11. Just hover over the users avatar on left of page for a second or so, and the popup window includes the option "Ignore User" - on the next page you will have options on what/all to ignore from them. I applied it a long time ago for the user in question...

  13. Ignore function is still there for me...? I hover over an avatar on left hand side in the thread and can click to ignore user, then it takes me to the next page where I specify what to ignore (posts / direct messages etc)
