  1. That sounds interesting about the "3 year and one owns it "bit. I wouldn't do it but is this true?
  2. Do you think that could happen. Even with the solicitor involved?
  3. Looking for some ideas from you folks. I have found an empty property. Did the Land Registry search which came back with one owner registered at a diffrent address in the UK where he does not live at. The Local Authority has no info on it either where the owner lives. The name of the owner is not British it is Chinese. Any ideas how can I try to track him down? I have even considered a private detective

  5. Many thanks to all of you who have contributed and enlightened me. I am armed with clear information.
  6. When the media talk about " the printing presses being swithched on " are they talking about the M4 money?
  7. Many thanks for this. I have came across these link previously and they are very informative. May I ask a question? Is the M4 money growth same as money printed in the UK?
  8. I had an interesting conversation with my professor ( not doing an Economics course!) about the current crisis and I said that part of the problem is the expansion of money supply. His response was that there has been none of this in the UK and he is confident in this. There are a lot of you here ( I have been reading the forums for years ) who are very knowledgable in this area and I would very much appreciate your help. Many thanks ahead.
  9. First we had cars, then we had cash and now you get an extra house - yahoo news
  10. Yes, it was the same list in the paper. Mind you I cannot see that these plant are going to take to much off the sale price. if you like a property you just dig them up after you move in. I bet you that this weekend people who have their houses for sale will be doing some gardening LOL
  11. Yes it did. And geranium and magnolia. I cannot remember the rest.
  12. I think this is a bit sad. The slowdown is being blamed on the plants now. I did have a good laugh when I read it. They dedicated a whole page for it.
  13. Sterilized Milk £2.89(6 L pack) 2 months ago, now £3.20 Bread Sainsburys organic white £0.59 4 months ago, now £0.69 And other essential items. You see when you have 4 children CD prices and other non-essential items don't matter to my family.
  14. I read the Building Magazine and it's sister magazines. The last 2 or 3 copies are full of companies selling their buildings or land. For example HSBC has sold their headquarters in London and leased it back. It is a growing trend at the mo.
