  1. Underneath it it is say's something like *up to... I didn't see anything that was 50% off.
  2. Colleague just bumped into someone in the cafe carrying a woolies bag. Asked her about what it was like down there and she said it was carnage. People Q'ing out the door, for the same reductions on the same tat that they were selling yesterday. I'm expecting a woolies spokemen to issue a statement after the new year saying "only joking" Until I can get xbox games dirt cheap in there, I'm not touching it.
  3. +1 Anyone duped into believing that there's a housing supply problem is about to get a rude awakening when x% of the populus jump ship in the next year Can't believe I've stayed here for as long as I have.
  4. Well, this has made my mind up. Had a good chat with the OH last weekend about leaving the country for good and this magical scheme is the last straw. Unbelievable.
  5. Reading the story, there's so many warnings that these pair are a couple of basket cases: April 2006: January 2007: February 2007: (probably shouldn't have gone out for those meals last month ay?)March 2007: Wow. IQ's are dropping faster than your cashflow.December 2007: But, I agree, I don't know where these repossesion fees have come from?
  6. Virtualdub will do what you need, it's free and bloomin' easy.

  8. If it's a house on the walsall road estate, do yourself a favour and don't bother....those things will be the ghetto's of the future! If it's the ones on the charter place development, I live there (renting) and can tell you the build quality on them is horrendous, coupled with carparking issues that the fire services would have something to say about, your best off out! The house down from me was bought for £232,995 on 26/10/2007 and is now asking £199k (detached 3-bed) if that helps. Lichfield is stupidly overpriced, the BTL bubble was rife in areas such as the above (mainly Victoria park though) so should pop good and hard in the months ahead. Considered selling up at 130K then renting for the next couple of years? Prices still have a large way to fall in Lichfield
  9. Should help a little:- http://www.saynoto0870.com/search.php
  10. Reminiscent of that round of Poker when you're down to your last chips and you go all in on a pair of 4's.
  11. I used to see quite a few posts on there along the lines of..... "My 3-year mortgage (on 110%) is coming to an end, I've got 2 outstanding finance plans on two brand new cars, and I think my husband's screwing the cleaner" "Oh never mind big *hugz* xoxo I'm sure things will get better" etc etc Got to love that place

  13. Hi all, as others, I've been lurking for a while and you seem like a friendly helpful bunch, I've been (against the advice of many) holding out of buying since I left uni (around 2005) and blo*dy glad I didn't listen to the many many people telling me to buy (even my parents, who are usually quite market knowedgable) In theory I can get away with a minimal mortgage to no mortgage (if the piggies burn with the momentum I think they will!) Here's hoping that BTL is well and truly F'ed in the A and never to be seen again!
