  1. Saudi Arabia & Russia just agreed to freeze production of oil, an attempt to reverse falling prices. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/saudi-arabia-freeze-oil-production-price-a6876591.html
  2. Thanks for the replies guys. I think I will keep my bases covered and keep paying the minimum into it for now.
  3. Our company has been taken over by a larger company and as such the "harmonisation" of contracts process has begun. Where my previous company paid 8% into my pension pot if I matched it, the new company pays 3% and has increased my salary to counteract the loss. My question is: Is there any point in paying much into a pension pot? What can we forsee on the horizon for pensions? It seems that the current retiring generation have been screwed out of their final salary pension scemes and (as I am 30 now) feel that when my time for retirement comes, it will be my time to bend over.
  4. Thought he had been hung from a lampost when I saw the headline
  5. http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/16050532 I dont like where this is going, lets hope it's not a case of history repeating.
  6. I'm on the road at what I consider early (6:30) & there is an increase of cars on the roads. Seems many are driving slower & setting off earlier to compensate.
  7. Hahaha, From the BBC comments Anagram of his name......... REALISATION #$%$ !!!!!!!
  8. Plenty of people have been out of work for longer than a year. Why is this news I think is the question people need to be asking.
  9. There are ways of doing it so it doesnt spoil, injecting co2 and the like but it gets complicated and more expensive. But with all things there is plenty of info on forums these days.
  10. The elderberries are just about ready and I have an allotment full of em, got loads of demijohns too. Doing a cider with my apples that is fermenting at the minute. Rhubarb wine has been made & gone. I have done a few beer kits but fancy a go of all grain, which is my next project.
  11. Funilly enough, I was thinking of having a period off the drink this weekend. I dont drink through the week and have started drinking less but better quality ales (generally spending the same). I have also discovered homebrew recently, I would expect there will be more like me.
