  1. You should consider Marlborough, 8 miles south of Swindon. Easy access to the M4. We visisted Marlborough last night, very nice.
  2. I worked for LCMG for over two years. Logica stifled the live out of me. Nearly two years on the name still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I worked out of the Bridgend DC.
  3. This has just happened on the Bellway Estate where i live, the Heathers in Priory Vale, North Wales. The owners are in up roar, i found it funny myself, especialy as we are moving on the 10 of March. You could see this coming a mile off. There is a block of at least 12 unsold homes. These houses were built months ago.
  4. I have had an offer accepted at 33% off peak prices. However, in Swindon this takes houses back to 2001 prices.
  5. I have just bought an house and i expect to lose about 40K. I would very surprise if i made virtual money, although, everyone is telling me i have made a great investment. I quickly follow this with no i have purchased a home. Before anyone asks, my wife wore me down.
  6. I wouldn't be to concerned, i live in Priory Vale (4 miles form Honda) and houses have been dropping here for about 6 months. In fact i have just bought at around 33% off peak prices. Big 4 bedroom for 190K.
  7. I have just picked up a repossession for 190K. The house originally sold in August 2002 for 212K. The owner could have sold in 2007 for 265K but held out for more. I could wait for a couple of years and pick up the house for cheaper but we like it and more importantly we can afford the house with a really small mortgage, less then half my annual salary.
  8. Really? I remember working a night shift in our NOC. One of the support teams were training a load of Inidan Intel Enginners. Anyway one of the Intel team was an alcohic and asleep next thing i knew all the Indians followed his lead. At least he had been drinking all day.
  9. Thanks for everyone's advice. Been reading a lot on Gold and Silver over the past week. One last question - say for instance i was visiting Guernsey and purchase the silver bars in person is there a limit on the amount of silver you can bring into the country without paying VAT. I have a close friend who going to Guernsey to provide some telephony training and may ask him to bring a few bars back if all is legal and above broad.
  10. Rackspace provides hosted Services for the MOD. Not sure how they are looking.
  11. Without taking the pxxs, many of the reasons stated above is why we live in England.
  12. Nortel are still big in the switching market. They have some good enterprise class switches. Nortel are cheaper than Cisco and they have a fair market share of educational sector. Good news for Cisco.
  13. It wasn't to long ago when the average house in the Rhondda was £20,000. I remember my mother was trying to sell her house around 1995 for 14K. No takers. This was an above average 2 bedroom property.
