  1. Why do I have to work to pay for other people to have spare bedrooms? If people are that disabled that they need a live in carer they should move to more sustainable accommodation.
  2. Does anyone know how the gurkin is faring up? I remember back in 2005ish the company that owns it only uses half of it and was struggling to let out the other half due to the size of space available and them being picky.
  3. Fingers crossed. I've been chilling the bubbly for this party for some time now
  4. Hi, Has anyone else noticed in their area lots of "SOLD" Similar Properties Reguired descriptions for 'free' properties on right move? Im guessing its just estate agents putting their own propery up there so they can say / look like they've sold something? http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sa...y-19297813.html
  5. Rotherhithe is ghastly. Looks good on a map and thats about it. Known many people that moved there when they first arrived in london, and didn't hang around.
  6. "In a recession the beauty industry is not affected as women always want to look good" Stupidest quote of the day? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7806906.stm
  7. Yes i know the area well. It's a very large estate with virtually no green areas, a few small boggy muddy meters of land here and there. Awful houses with flat roofs - far too hot in the summer and too noisy to open the windows. The estate is divided by two train lines, one dual carriageway raised A road (trucks and cars running along at the same height as bedroom windows) and an industrial estate. There is a playground at the start of the estate that is home to hoddies, drunks and so on. Only positives are it is 10mins walk to the station that has regular 20min trains to waterloo and only a mile or so from Wimbledon. There are several houses on the same 'garden' (ironic name or what!?) that have been on for most of the year. Most started at 300k and have gone down 20-30, obviously none have sold. http://www.houseprices.co.uk/e.php?q=sw20+0ud
  8. I think this one is far worse: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-22212293.rsp Zone 4, council house in rough estate, backing on the a3
  9. I hope not. We are only at the very start. Prices were held up high for a long time during this boom. So it really is different this time. Will be a very different story when the big job cuts start mid next year.
  10. You know you can zoom in really far. Apparently Im in a high zone, and this is easily the nicest part of London ive lived in. I thought it was a nice safe area..
  11. Where do I buy shares in engergy performance certification companies?
