Once someone has built up a healthy portfolio of property then caps like this won't get in the way of them adding more and houses will creep up in value again.

Lots of cash buyers about, foreign buyers, investors....little wonder prices are starting to creep up.

People tired of immigration posts are usually sitting in their ivory tower sipping champagne a la socialism... They would not tire of the argument if their hard earned tax was being stolen by lazy spongers.

I have been watching a number of desirable towns, such as university towns like Cambridge, Bath etc and prices are hardly moving at all... I am talking about the lower end - BTL property, 1,2 bed houses etc Crappier chav infested places are falling....

People that are going to be sitting and waiting for 12 - 18mths will be bitterly renting for another 10 years. I know lots of friends who are investors in property who are hovering over houses, ready to snap them them up soon to add to their portfolios, thus inflating the price again...and the bears on this site will have missed the once in a decade boat again!

Why are there still massive waiting lists for housing, why are there homeless?...I wouldn't believe these figures for one moment! There are one million immigrants unknown to the officials in the UK, maybe they are occupying them.. With zero housebuilding in a small overpopulated country how can there not be pent up demand?

Good idea if you like new builds and want to be surrounded by social housing types in years to come!

There are enough properties to house people but there are not enough available for everyone to buy. How can there be with so many people with big property portfolios?

Probably Australia, there seems to be more there than in Ireland and London put together..

NZ, lovely as it is, can be pretty boring. Yes there are extreme sports etc, all lots of fun but you need more stimulus than bungy jumping to live there... Also there are plenty of places in NZ that you wouldn't walk around at night unarmed, South Auckland springs to mind!
