  1. Jeez, when you guys post back to back I feel like I'm reading too much
  2. Although I know these things happen, it wasn't in our case. The missus had just finished her degree, and was at the start of her career, which she had to leave basically to look after the first. Not sure how the 2nd daughter happened, but probably due to being over tired, and generally forgetful. She's not really a maternal type, and has just gone back to work full time now the oldest is 8 and I am able to work flexibly to do the school runs etc. We just had to make it work. We did plan to have children, but we were going to wait a couple of years until we were both settled in work. It set both of us back 7 years in reality.
  3. I have 2 daughters, both were unexpected and due to the missus being generally rubbish at regularly taking medication, which includes the pill. So last year I went and got the snip. So I won't be contributing to the birthrate any more. All juice no seeds
  4. I think a lot has to do with where you live. People in London seem to embrace all these hard working immigrants that they see day to day serving them coffee and subways etc etc. It's a different story up north, where most of them seem to be dossers. I live on a council estate in Sheffield, and if I threw a tennis ball from my front garden I could hit houses with a Chinese family, 2 x Somali family (with about 12 kids between them) and 2 x EE families. Judging by my kids school the rest of the estate has a similar mix. One of the Somali dads is a black cab driver, never see any of the others go to work. Just anecdotal really, take from it what you will.
  5. I'm not sure what you are on about, but don't worry I'll Google it
  6. I used to have a friend that was a bit of a 'phet head', his house was immaculate
  7. I think this is a major symptom of the current system. It's the depression of people instead of the economy. My GP told me that Prozac or the generic fluoxetine is the most prescribed drug in the uk.
  8. UnlessI read this totally wrong, it seems people are hearing affordable and thinking social housing http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/philip-hammond-autumn-statement-housing-right-to-buiy-no-point-a7434981.html
  9. I mow a couple of lawns on there. The place looks like a BMW showroom, it's a bit weird.
  10. I got the text this morning. Luckily as my work season has now finished, and I only use the bank account to receive payments from customers I only have about £1.30 in there.
  11. I'm actually shocked at some of the rents paid down south. My rent is £103 per week and I feel robbed, well I did feel robbed until I realised my rent is quite good value considering..
  12. I got a flyer through the post yesterday from Tesco credit card offering 0% Apr on spending in store or online until March/April I think. Seemed a bit desperate to me.
  13. You could put that on any window in London, horrible place
  14. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-37540803 Communities Secretary Sajid Javid has attacked "nimbyism" as he called for a million new homes to be built by 2020.
  15. My savings account has £1.00 in it. I never really earned enough to save. Any extra money I get now tends to get invested into my business.
